Heinrich Wilhelm Brussow has grown in stature this year and richly deserved selection to the Bok ranks for the end-of-year tour in 2008.
Brussow had a stellar 2008 Currie Cup season and earned a Player of the Month Accolade for his fine displays at the Cheetahs.
The 22-year-old youngster from Free State's Grey College is a born fetcher and has been rated as arguably the best breakdown specialist currently plying his trade in South Africa.
In the 2008 Super 14 his turn-over statistics on the deck were even better than All Black skipper Richie McCaw, regarded as the best in the game.
In 2009 he took his play to an even higher level as he scorched through the Super 14, British & Irish Lions series and the Tri-Nations and became a household name for his vital steals on the deck and uncanny ability to read the game.
