Stephen Larkham made his Test debut for Australia in 1996 against Wales after a phenomenal debut season with the Brumbies. He was moved from full back to fly half by the then coach of Australia Rod Macqueen and in 1999 he was selected as a member of the World Cup winning Australia side, kicking a memorable drop goal in extra time in the semi-final against South Africa to put Australia into the Final. Larkham went to the 2003 World Cup and played in the Final against England. Following playing in his 100th Super rugby match for the Brumbies he appeared in every Australia Test in 2006, a feat which he had not repeated since 1998. In 2007, after the final home match the Eastern Grandstand was renamed the Gregan-Larkham stand in recognition of the final two foundation players to depart the Brumbies. He became only the third Australian player, after David Campese and George Gregan, to reach the 100 Test mark in the 2007 Tri Nations match against South Africa at the Telstra Stadium, Sydney.
