Bakkies op a success

Thursday, December 10 The Vodacom Bulls’ Springbok lock Bakkies Botha went for his achilles operation on Friday but Dr Org Strauss said on Thursday morning from George that our enforcer is doing just fine.

“Bakkies’ operation went according to plan and his foot is currently in a cast.”

It is expected that Botha will be on the sideline for about three months.

Botha’s Bok teammate Wynand Olivier (Knee) went for a scope on Wednesday and he will join up with the rest of the Bulls squad in George on Sunday.

Frik Kirsten (neck), Heini Adams (ankle) and Akona Ndungane (he broke his leg in the second round of the Absa Currie Cup) are busy with their rehabilitation, but the Springbok hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle is still out of action.

The rest of the Bulls squad is injury free and will be training in George until Friday the 18th of December.
