Stormers announce pre-season friendlies

Thursday, November 26 The Stormers, Sharks and the Western Force will play a pre-season warm-up tournament at Newlands Stadium ahead of the 2010 Vodacom Super 14.

The Stormers announced that games will take place at their home ground during late January next year.

The following games have been announced:

Stormers v Western Force (Saturday 23 January, 5pm)
Sharks v Western Force (Tuesday 26 January, 7pm)
Stormers v Sharks (Friday 29 January, 7pm)

In addition to this the Stormers will also take on the Boland Kavaliers at the new Cape Town Stadium in Green Point on Saturday the 6th of February.

Tickets for all three matches will go on sale through Computicket, Shoprite, Shoprite Checkers and Checkers Hyper Stores nationwide on Monday 11 January. Tickets can also be purchased on www.computicket.com or via the Computicket Credit Card booking line on 082 915 8000. Tickets are priced at R50 for seating (all stands), R20 for standing room and R10 for scholars* (in the scholars area’s only). The Newlands Box Office will open on Tuesday 19 January (Office Hours: 9am to 4pm).

Peppers, you started talking k@@@@k. I think the Stormers are in with a chance. Hopefully the pre-season helps the teams to be competitive from the word go in the S14. Stormers did look a bit underdone this year, especially after quite a good run that could've (no, should've) ended in a s14 semi-final in '08.

We'll see what happens, but I've got a good feeling about the Stormers.

R50 for a stand ticket ? That's the way to get the crowds back.
30,000 @ R50 is far better than 15,000 @ R100. Same income bigger roar.
You can't park your car at a UK ground for R50(£4).
They should have thought about this when the Lions were touring.
