New Zealand name S14 squads
Wednesday, November 11
New Zealand's five rugby franchises finalised their squads for the 2010 Super 14 on Wednesday.
The most interesting off season recruitment drive surrounded the Blues who were desperately seeking flyhalf reserves for next season. Stephen Brett moves north from the Crusaders as does former Hurricanes pivot Daniel Kirkpatrick.
In the end they decided not to take up their option on flyhalf Daniel Bowden who was snapped up by the Crusaders for next season.
Some of the other interesting draft moves (denoted by a D on the squad list below) include Serge Lilo to the Blues, Jason Kawau to the Hurricanes and Bronson Murray to the Highlanders.
Chris Jack and Daniel Carter return to the Crusaders mix after stints overseas while Luke McAlister is back with the Blues.

3) bulls
4) blues
1. Crusaders
2. Bulls
3. Blues
4. Stormers/Waratahs
I do think that the Cheetahs will do good this year, If they can just start winning all those "almost" games....
Probably we'll see 3 of either Crusaders, Hurricanes, Chiefs and Blues in the final 4 with the Bulls. Sharks, Brumbies, Stormers and Cheetahs have a chance but lack the winning edge IMO.
Crusaders
Waratahs
Hurricanes
Brumbies/Bulls
