Dagg backing the backs
Crusaders full-back Israel Dagg insists it won't be all about the forwards in their semi-final clash with the Sharks.
Many are predicting a full on arm wrestle between the sides at AMI Stadium, with the franchise from Dunedin having won at the venue earlier in 2014.
But the number fifteen is adamant that the backs will have a major say in who comes out on top, as they look to use their wide game successfully.
"There are going to be opportunities out there for us," he told sportal.co.nz from Christchurch.
"Hopefully the boys up front can lay a platform like they have all year and the backs out wide can execute what we want to do out there."
The Crusaders have not made the final since 2011 when they fell to the Reds in Brisbane and have since lost twice at this stage, with Dagg determined to go at least one better this year.
"For the last couple of years we haven't been able to get past this hurdle," Dagg said.
"But we've just got a great group of guys that have got that belief that we can go all the way (this year) and we've given ourselves a great opportunity to do it as well."
