Following a pulsating 29-26 victory over the Crusaders in Christchurch, the Hurricanes call upon forwards reinforcements before taking on the Bulls in Napier.

Mark Hammett's men are targeting their third win from four games up against a side who shipped three tries in 11 minutes at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday to allow the Chiefs a 34-34 draw.

The Hurricanes' back-row is hitting some excellent form, but All Black Victor Vito and Brad Shields return to the selection mix ahead of the matchup. Prop Reggie Goodes is also fit to play.

Midfielder Tim Bateman's involvement with the clash is under question, however, after the centre injured his shoulder during the first half of the Crusaders triumph.

If Bateman misses out, Hadleigh Parkes and Alapati Leiua may fill the void, with star winger Cory Jane another who may return to the fray.
