Coetzee injury hits Lions
The Lions have suffered a setback ahead of the Super Rugby season after two players were injured during their win over the Kings on Saturday.
Full-back Andries Coetzee suffered a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for approximately six weeks while lock Rudi Mathee was ruled out for eight weeks after fracturing his arm in the game.
The Johannesburg franchise received some encouraging news that Elton Jantjies, Anthony Volmink and Ruan Dreyer were making good progress recovering from shoulder injuries.
The trio were expected to make a return to action within three weeks, the Lions said in a statement.
