Kaino reportedly coming home
Former All Blacks flanker Jerome Kaino is expected to confirm his return to rugby in New Zealand on Friday, according to reports.
Kaino has reportedly signed a two-year deal to play for North Harbour in the ITM Cup, the Blues in Super Rugby and the All Blacks.
The confirmation of Kaino's return is set to be confirmed by the NZRU imminently, according to Fairfax NZ News.
Kaino will return to his old Super Rugby side despite interest from current champions the Chiefs.
The blindside flanker has spent the last two years following success in the Rugby World Cup playing in Japan with Toyota.
The 30-year-old has 48 caps to his name and is the second major signing by John Kirwan following the arrival of Benji Marshall from the NRL.
An alleged clause in Kaino's contract is understood to be that he will be allowed to head overseas once more, should he fail to regain his place in the All Blacks side.
