Lions chop and change

Golden Lions coach Johan Ackermann made several changes to his side for Saturday's clash with Western Province in Cape Town.

In the back-line, Michael Bondesio has recovered from injury and will start at scrum-half in place of Ross Cronje who starts on the bench. At fly-half, Marnitz Boshoff will take the place of the injured Elton Jantjies, while Lionel Cronje and Lionel Mapoe will pair up in the midfield.

Chrysander Botha also returns from injury and will start at wing, with Andries Coetzee shifting to full-back. Among the forwards, Willie Britz has been promoted from the bench and into the starting line-up.

Meanwhile, Hugo Kloppers and Kobus de Kock are both new additions on the bench.
