Golden Lions coach Johan Ackermann has seen fit to make just two changes to the starting line-up to face the Sharks.

The Lions are set to welcome the Sharks to Ellis Park on Friday, with the visitors arriving fresh off the back of a thumping fifty-point victory over the Cheetahs last week.

In the pack, Chris van Zyl comes in at second row for Stephan Greef. Warren Whiteley has also recovered from a hip injury to return to the starting XV at number eight at the expense of Warwick Tecklenburg. This sees captain Derick Minnie move to the blindside flank.

Saturday's backline remains unaltered, but Willie Britz earns a spot on the bench having overcome a shoulder strain, alongside Grant Janke, who also provides cover among the substitutes.

Golden Lions:
15 Marnitz Boshoff, 14 Andries Coetzee, 13 Deon Helberg, 12 Dylan Des Fountain, 11 Anthony Volmink, 10 Elton Jantjies, 9 Ross Cronjé, 8 Warren Whiteley, 7 Derick Minnie (captain), 6 Jaco Kriel, 5 Franco van der Merwe, 4 Chris van Zyl, 3 Ruan Dreyer, 2 Robbie Coetzee, 1 CJ van der Linde.
Replacements: 16 Willie Wepener, 17 Jacques van Rooyen, 18 Willie Britz, 19 Warwick Tecklenberg, 20 Guy Cronjé, 21 Grant Janke, 22 Ruhan Nel
