Western Province flanker Michael Rhodes will appear before a SARU judicial committee after receiving a red card against the Blue Bulls.

Rhodes' hearing will be held Tuesday, 17 September, in Cape Town after he was sent off at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

Rhodes received a red card in the 35th minute of the match for allegedly contravening Law 10.4 (b) by tramping on Blue Bulls captain and number eight Jono Ross in the face area.

Province went on to win the match 29-18 despite their numerical disadvantage for the majority of the second half.

Gio Aplon and Damian de Allende were the two try scorers for the visitors as they stayed top of the Currie Cup Premier Division.
