Scrum-half Cobus Reinach will make his first start in this year's Currie Cup when the Sharks face the Blue Bulls on Saturday.

Reinach enjoyed a strong start to the Super Rugby season but saw his campaign cut short by injury. Since his return to fitness he has been forced to content with a place among the reserves, with Charl McLeod in fine form. However, the 23-year-old will now have a chance to impress from the outset. Should McLeod make it onto the park he will notch up his 50th Currie Cup cap.

Elsewhere in the back-line, Odwa Ndungane has recovered from a hamstring injury and replaces Sizo Maseko who drops out of the matchday 22.

Among the forwards, Craig Burden comes in for Kyle Cooper at hooker while Peet Marais gets a run in the second row at the expense of Edwin Hewitt.
