Elton Jantjies will face his Stormers team-mates on Friday after being restored to the Lions starting XV to face Western Province.

Lions coach Johan Ackermann has made a handful of changes for the match due to injuries and some tactical tinkering.

Chris van Zyl is ruled out by injury and as a result number eight Willie Britz moves into the second row with Lambert Groenewald taking his place at the back of the scrum. Elsewhere in the loose trio, Warwick Tecklenburg is preferred to Jaco Kriel who drops to the bench.

Full-back Chrysander Botha is another injury casualty, with Marnitz Boshoff switching to the number 15 jersey, with Jantjies slotting in at fly-half in his absence.

The only other change to the starting line-up is in the front row where CJ van der Linde replaces Jacques van Rooyen.

Golden Lions: 15 Marnitz Boshoff, 14 Deon Helberg, 13 Robert De Bruyn, 12 Dylan Des Fountain, 11 Anthony Volmink, 10 Elton Jantjies, 9 Guy Cronje, 8 Lambert Groenewald, 7 Derick Minnie (captain), 6 Warwick Tecklenburg, 5 Franco van der Merwe, 4 Willie Britz, 3 Ruan Dreyer, 2 Willie Wepener, 1 CJ van der Linde.
