Sharks start Daniel
The Sharks are boosted by the return of Keegan Daniel for their Currie Cup clash with the Free State Cheetahs.
Daniel has recovered from the knee injury that kept him out of the opening two matches of the tournament and he takes over from Brynard Stander who sustained a minor knee strain against the Lions.
Jacques Botes will retain the captaincy playing at number eight.
Daniel's return is one of two personnel and one positional changes to the team in Bloemfontein on Friday.
The loss of Odwa Ndungane with a hamstring strain means last week's debutant SP Marias shifts back to his preferred position at full-back while Sizo Maseko, who missed last week's match, returns to the wing.
Sharks forwards coach Brad Macleod-Henderson believes that steady improvement is what The Sharks are looking for in their campaign as they showed this from week one to week two.
"It's probably more important for us to focus on our performance rather than the results," he told the Sharks website.
"The results are secondary to performance; if you perform well you'll get the result. The highlight for us is that we played better this past week against the Lions than in the first match against Griquas, and if we continue to improve each week then the results will take care of themselves."
