Former Sharks loose forward Brad Macleod-Henderson will take the reins of the Durban outfit during the Currie Cup.

There have been rumours circulating for some time that Macleod-Henderson, who has most recently been employed as Director of Rugby at Hilton College, would be named as the Sharks' head coach for the competition.

While no official announcement has been made, comments made on Twitter by Sharks CEO John Smit and by Hilton College indicate that a deal has been agreed.

"Passed by Hilton College today to thank them for Brad, hopefully the start of good engagement with our Schools in KZN," tweeted Smit.

HIlton, where Macleod-Henderson was also a pupil, tweeted: "@Hilton_College - Congrats to the 2 year former 1st XV coach and old boy Brad Macleod-Henderson (BMH) on his appointment as Sharks head coach for Currie Cup!"
