Injured All Black Cory Jane is hopeful of making a return to action in September.

Jane tore his anterior cruciate ligament in late January and has only recently started running on a treadmill once more.

Thee 30-year-old is looking to gradually up the intensity of his rehabilitation with an eye on getting back out onto the park in a little two months time, but he won't return until he's truly ready.

"If it's not then I won't be," he is quoted as telling Newstalk ZB

"But I'm not going to rush into it. I've waited this bloody long but I've done everything I've supposed to to get back on the field."
