Mallett turns down Sharks
If reports in the South African media are to be believed then the Sharks could be replacing their coach, John Plumtree soon.
According to SARugbyMag.co.za former Springbok coach, Nick Mallett has been approached by the Sharks to take over from Plumtree.
And the City Press newspaper reported on Sunday that Mallett revealed that he is not interested in the job and was happy to continue in his role as a television analyst.
'I did have an approach from Natal, but I'm very happy at SuperSport and want to continue what I'm doing until 2015 [the year of the next World Cup]," Mallet said.
"After that I may be interested in returning to coaching with an international team.'
Plumtree has been the Sharks coach since 2008, winning the Currie Cup in his first season in charge. He has also guided the Durban-based franchise to another Currie Cup title in 2010 as well as both the Super Rugby and Currie Cup finals in 2012.
