Out-of-favour Waratahs winger Tom Kingston has joined the Melbourne Rebels on a two-year deal, according to reports.

Kingston doesn't feature in the 'Tahs matchday 22 this week for the fourth game on the trot and despite the season-long absence of Lachie Turner and intermittent injuries suffered by Drew Mitchell, the 2011 Young Waratah of the Year has had limited opportunities this term.

The rise of Cam Crawford and Peter Betham has seen Kingston relegated to Sydney club rugby in recent weeks.

As a result it comes as little surprise that the 21-year-old looks set to explore pastures new. It is believed that Kingston's departure will officially be confirmed on Friday.
