Hunt blow hits SA

Springbok Sevens back Steven Hunt has been forced out of this week's London Sevens after he suffered ankle ligament damage in Glasgow.

Hunt and was withdrawn by the medical team on Wednesday and will be replaced by Tshotsho Mbovane, who helped them win the Tokyo title.

Hunt is the fourth member of the side that won the Glasgow Sevens on Sunday to miss the last tournament of the 2012/13 IRB World Series.

On Tuesday Paul Delport was forced out of the London event due to a knee injury, while Seabelo Senatla and Justin Geduld on Monday returned to South Africa to join up with the Junior Springboks.

Cecil Afrika, Werner Kok, Bernado Botha and Mbovane are the confirmed replacements.

Springbok Sevens squad (revised): Frankie Horne (captain), Philip Snyman, Chris Dry, Jamba Ulengo, Stephan Dippenaar, Werner Kok, Cecil Afrika, Bernado Botha, WJ Strydom, Tshotsho Mbovane, Pieter Engelbrecht, Cornal Hendricks.
