Wallabies star Kurtley Beale is in line to face the Chiefs after rejoining the Rebels squad following his disciplinary suspension.

Beale has not been involved with the Melbourne franchise since off-the-field clashes with team-mates Cooper Vuna and Gareth Delve during the tour of South Africa.

Beale has subsequently undertaken an off-field program of rehabilitation for alcohol-related issues over the course of the past five weeks.

However the 24-year-old will now return to the squad for training ahead of Friday's match with the defending Super Rugby champions.

A statement from the Rebels read: "Rebels head coach Damien Hill will consult with the playing group and be guided by Beale's training form and integration within the team, before Kurtley is made available for selection.

"Beale will continue to undertake an agreed off-field program."

Beale has missed six matches after breaking his hand on March 1 and being suspended. However, following the Rebels' gut-wrenching loss to the Crusaders on Sunday and with only a five-day turnaround for their next match against the Chiefs, his return could be a blessing if he's ready to play.
