Etzebeth fit to tour
Despite their long injury list, the Stormers have assembled a formidable 26-man touring squad for their four-match Super Rugby trip to Australasia, which starts next week with a clash against the Hurricanes.
The group, named on Friday, includes several players who will make a comeback to the game after injury lay-offs, though at least two players - Eben Etzebeth and Elton Jantjies - will only be match-fit for the second tour game against the Blues.
Scarra Ntubeni, Rynhardt Elstadt and Bryan Habana have recovered sufficiently and will be up for selection for the first match.
All five returnees participated in Friday's training session in Bellville.
“It will do us a world of good to be able to now call on players like Scarra, Eben, Rynhardt, Elton and Bryan," said Stormers coach Allister Coetzee.
"Of course we would have liked to have all our players back from injury, but our focus is on the players that are available and how we plan to use them because these are the players that will carry us through.
"Even with these players back we won't have a lot of (selection) options but we feel that players coming off the bench can still make a notable contribution."
