Kitshoff cited for high tackle

Stormers prop Steven Kitshoff has been cited for an alleged high tackle during Saturday's victory over the Brumbies at Newlands.

Kitshoff is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous Tackling when he made contact with Brumbies fly-half Matt Toomua in a tackle in the 61st minute.

Referee Glen Jackson, acted upon the incident during the match by awarding a penalty.

Upon further review of the match footage the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play

The Citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Jannie Lubbe SC.
