Timani hit with ban

Australia lock Sitaleki Timani has been given a one-week suspension for striking an opponent during last Saturday's match against Italy.

The Waratahs enforcer was reported by match commissioner Freek Burger following the incident in the 13th minute of the match.

The suspension rules Timani out of Saturday's clash with Wales in Cardiff, the final match of Australia's European tour as they look for a third win following victories over England and Italy.

With Rob Simmons also suspended following a tip-tackle against France, Nathan Sharpe looks set to be partnered by Kane Douglas in the second row after the Waratah re-joined the squad from London, where his mother has been in hospital recovering from a stroke.

What????? Timani gets only one week????? and then Rob Simmons sentence get reduced for dangerous tip tackling?? What is going on? Is there one rule for the Wallabies and a different one for everyone else? Did they think they were going to escape under the radar for their misdemeanors? Where is Mark Reason when you need him!
