The Stormers have completed moves for prop Pat Cilliers and flanker Michael Rhodes on permanent deals from the Lions for Super Rugby 2013.

The contracts coincide with the Sharks bringing in lock Franco van der Merwe on a loan deal for the tournament, which kicks off on February 15.

Acting Lions CEO Ruben Moggee revealed the destinations of new Springboks Elton Jantjies and Jaco Taute was still under discussion.

"The rest is speculation and nothing is finalised," Moggee said.

He added that it was important for loan agreements to be water tight contractually.

"The end game of 2014 and 2015 is front of mind," he said.

"We try and be practical and sit with the players."

Meanwhile, the Lions said Derek Minnie and Willie Britz had signed new contracts which would keep them with the team until 2014.
