Cooper Cited For Knee
Aug 27,2011
Wallabies flyhalf Quade Cooper has been cited for kneeing All Black captain Richie McCaw during the Tri-Nations decider in Brisbane on Saturday.
The young pivot, who has a history of foul play against McCaw, was cited for kneeing the New Zealand skipper in the head following a query from the All Blacks, who relinquished their Tri-Nations title with a 25-20 defeat.
While the newly-crowned southern hemisphere champions will be sweating on their mercurial flyhalf, the All Blacks will be concerned about the fitness of back row trio McCaw, Adam Thomson and Kieran Read after all three loose forwards suffered injuries in the defeat.
Read was the first to limp off after sustaining an ankle injury and was followed by Thomson, who departed just before half time with an elbow injury. McCaw received treatment to his lower back but was able to complete the match.

It seemed unintentional to me, but I guess the ABs have to get something out of this match. :P

Guess Ali Williams will be hoping no one other than the whole world saw his deliberate trip.....

Must be a tough day in the office when all you get out of it is crying to the officials. But it was Richie and nobody must touch Richie...

Yip, you know it. I think Paddy o'Brian is on a plane to NZ as we speak... :P

So he should, you can not do anything like that and think you can get away with it. This all started last year with Cooper putting a knee into the back of McCaw at the end of a Tri Nations game.
Anyway the guy is an idiot, made worse by listening to the aussie commentators rate him as the best in the world, what a joke.

Cooper barely even touched him - what a joke. Obviously powers @ play are scared of what this wallaby outfit is capable of... Still only put it together for 40-50 mins.
Agree with post on another article Richie is gonna be owned by broussow (if boks can make semis)

Redsman, your team is playing beautiful rugby at the moment, and don't be fooled into thinking that there are conspiracy theories working to bring them down...that just shows arrogance! Be humble and gracious in victory and you Aussies will get the respect and reverence you so yearn for.
That was not the only disgraceful thing Cooper did to MaCaw, there was another two incidents where he was actually punching MaCaw, but Richie was trying to not let it get to him and was just backing away, cos he did not want to be side-tracked by idiocies like that. Cooper deserves to be cited and and will suffer at least one match ban, which means the Wobblies will have no Cooper for the opening match.

Yeah, Cooper certainly has a hard-on for McCaw. He just cant seem to keep his hands/knees off the guy. There is no way Cooper "accidentally" grazed his knee against McCaw especially given his recent history(and his burglary career where cheap shots were the expected norm). He'll get his comeuppance soon enough.
Oh well, even when the Aussies win they like to moan and sore-Saffas will inevitably add their two cents(almost always in the opposition teams favour) with scant regard for the surrounding narrative.
It all reminds me of the Rodney King video and how polarising it was. Still cant believe some people actually thought the 3/4 cops were entitled to beat the man because they "genuinely" (yeah right) feared for their safety. LOL!

Cooper, can be amazing in attack but his defensive shortcomings (did he just hand out a ticket to Nonu when he scored?) and sort of nasty attitude generally (what is it with him and RMcC?) makes you wonder if he’s going to always be there. It’d be good to see Berrick Barnes have a chance- a good defender, creative in play- and he can kick goals.

Aug 28, 2011 at 05:37:20
3 out of the last 14 meetings red. LOL, bless the cocksure wobblies and their 29% success rate against the ABs.

LOL! Unintentional? Pffft whatever. Dirty cheat with the cheap shots while Richie is either trapped in a ruck or on his back.

yeah sure bro but have a feeling its gonna be us

I just read on News24 that the charge has been dismissed, so they're about to get even more upset.
Aug 28, 2011 at 11:13:03
What a numpty, disgraceful having a go at the guy while he's on the ground. Must be embarrassing for Deans having a little hot-headed prick in an other wise very good looking team.
Aug 28, 2011 at 11:21:00
As good as this Wallabie side looks, I can't see them clawing back a 17 point deficit in a tight game the way the AB's did, they don't have that maturity yet. No doubt this wallabies side will become legend in years to come however. Just need to develop some depth.
Aug 28, 2011 at 11:27:11
Please remember this little hot-headed prick was born and spent a good deal of his life in New Zealand mate :D

Gentlemen, the Wobblies are a serious threat come RWC time. They have a lethal attack and IMO are the team to beat come RWC. Their pack aint that flimsy anymore and they have developed a physical edge about them and you gotta think twice if you think you gonna bully their forwards and grind them into submission.
Deans has introduced the most dangerous weapon to this squad....BELIEF!
Aug 28, 2011 at 11:54:14
Well from what I'm seeing, Cooper is one kiwi the ozzy's can have and call there own with no complaints from us. Just like Russell Crowe lol.
Aug 28, 2011 at 12:18:14
That was definately intentional guys, and even if no harm was caused he should still be nailed for it.Imagine Bakkies with a knee to Richie, haha.Karma will get Cooper in the end!
Aug 29, 2011 at 04:52:36
Only one explanation Cooper has the Hot and Heavies For Mccaw...Cooper go play some real rugby or go meet your match in the ring where they'll hit you back!!!....
Aug 29, 2011 at 04:55:28
As upset as Australia losing to Samoa??? bahahahahahaha
Aug 30, 2011 at 16:56:02
Green, Deans did not introduce any BELIEF into the Wannabies! They are already FULL OF IT (LOL), although the term "belief" does not come to mind.
Sep 02, 2011 at 14:23:40
Green agree that Deans has brought belief but he also blooded a lot of these players 2-3 seasons ago and they are just starting to click. Team Chemistry is awesome atm and seeing them at medal celebration last night this is a team thats unified with common purpose. Dangerous I think Reds have had same focus last 2x seasons.
Team Chemistry @ ABs however: 1. LOST last 2x games ....hahahahahaahah 2. SBW and his idiotic manager playing $$ games - thats gonna be good for morale... 3. Memories of CHOKING in last 20odd yrs of RWC 4. Kiwi both @ home and the 99% of them not living there... will riot in the streets if they lose... PRESSURE>>>> 5. No gurantees Wallabies will make it to GF but sure hope they do...

play nice cooper!
