11 Resaons why Aussies will beat the Saffas in the test series

1. Mitch Johnson...

2. Aussie batters facing Mitch in the nets - anything else is pedestrian by comparison

3. G Smith is a whinger and he will be scared of Mitch... (which is not a cowardly thing as Mitch is very scary)

4. Aussies are the premiere cricket country just had a bad run recently that allowed the likes of lesser cricket countries to creep up the rankings

5. Morkel / Steyn dominance has waned - Steyn not as quick as he use to be - a lot like Jimmy Anderson's demise

6. Saffa pitches likely to be green and bouncey... just the way we like them

7. Saffa team omit best player I've seen them produce in a while - De Kock (what an unfortunate name...) while retaining older out of form players eg Amla

8. Senior player and mainstay of the team knows when to go - eg retire when you're on top... Kallis

9. Depth in Aussie cricket getting back to unbelievable depths after a forgettable 5yrs

10. Culture and vibe in this team best its been since early 2000s...

11. Watson injured - this is actually a good thing for the Aussie cricket team as much as I like the guy I think his batting has been problematic and would like to see the immensely talented Phil Hughes take his place @ number 3 -

I could go on but lets just wait for the first balls to be bowled...

 Reds,

You have many valid points in your blog.

The Aussie teams over the last few years had a real lapse but they are BACK!

BIG TIME.

LMAO

Yeah, and Morkel was sending them down at 153.7km/h in the second test

5. Morkel / Steyn dominance has waned - Steyn not as quick as he use to be - a lot like Jimmy Anderson's demise

One of the best spells of bowling ever seen in test cricket, especially with Steyn moving it both ways, even Clarke admitted they could not get any out or in swingers the whole game, not one

6. Saffa pitches likely to be green and bouncey... just the way we like them

Lol, ok

9. Depth in Aussie cricket getting back to unbelievable depths after a forgettable 5yrs

Really, 10 wickets for 90 runs

It's all good Red, lets enjoy the last one, let the best team win

 Redsman

Mitch Johnson has been around for years - he had his ups and downs.  Up to mid 2013  he was in fact more down than up.  In and out of the Aussie team was his case for a while.  Then he suddenly hit a purple patch and Clarke made a blooper by his claim that the Aussie bowling attack is the best in the World.

The purple patch lasted until and inclusive of the first test against the Proteas and then evaporated into thin air.   Johnson in that match managed to get 4 wickets in two  innings and even a newbie like De Kock played him with relative ease. The second test also showed the difference between the best bowling attack in the world and the Aussie attack - there is in fact a huge gap at present.

I think the third test is likely to be a duplicate of the second test and a win by the Proteas is on the cards.

All will be revealed tomorrow night - and yes I was wrong about steyn and morel they aren't as past it as I thought...

Lets see how the pitch plays in Capetown ?

I think well see a change in the aussie bowling attack regardless
