Where is JJ? I thought Saffex said he has "cemented" his position at 13 after the RC??

Must have used some sub-grade cement hey stupid!

In future Dave, only make calls that you are certain about. LIke CleanCut's call on you being stupid..That is a definate and he stands 0% chance of landing up with egg on his face.

Now if the Boks lose on the weekend, we will have Dave blaming Jaque Fourie and Mike blaming Steyn and Alberts.

What they will forget is that we are playing a pretty good French side in their own back yard in the last game of a tour.

Boks by 6 and Dave to get even more stupid over the weekend. Those are my calls.

With the Boks' record in France not good of recent times, general fatigue after a long International season and the Frogs' good showing vs the ABs, this would appear to be a possible end of season hiccup for the Boks.

Countering that is the fact that the Boks have improved their previous barely recognisable running game in the backs (courtesy of Willie Le Roux) and the fact that the Frogs hardly ever manage to stitch together 2 good performances in succession!

I'm not sure how the Fourie recall has gone as I haven't had access to the Bok games in Europe but Saffa supporter opinion seems to differ wildly on this site!

Fofana had an excellent game against the ABs and if the Bok midfield defence shows any weakness ( a la JDV's rushed defence which leaves gaps) then there could be trouble for the Boks.

Should be a great game; only wish I could see it. I'm going for the Boks by 8 given the fickle nature of the Frog temperament!

JJ place in the squad is cemented and Meyer knows what he has in this fine youngster. What Meyer doesnt know is how good Jaque is and he wants him tested again against France. Jaques has not set the world on fire but his club rugby in japapn was hardly a good preparation. he gets another chance. Meyer believes jaque still ahs it. who knows but we shall see on Saturday.
Those crowing about JJ's supposed demise will eat crow.
Boks will win again by more than the abs did.
One reason for picking 6 forwards might have been the fatigue question. Boks have played more rugby than the central franchise managed wee abs. Meyer has virtually two packs to field and they will go hard at the Frogs for 80 minutes.

Moolaa, honest opinion, Jaque has not been great. He has been solid at best and we need better but one thing we can not snub is that we have held the Welsh and Scots tryless in their back yards. Scotland, meh, not the most daunting task but we completely bullied the Welsh at breakdown and our backs defended well. We did see a few early hiccups in the centres when the Welsh had their prize 13 on but I think it was always gona take Jean and Jacque a few mins to get used to each other again as a combination and used to the NH environment after coming off a fast paced RC and Japanese conditions respectively.

I want to see JJ back but he has disappointed/not lived up to expectation thus far. He is piss poor in his tackle approach and is not a creator! He sometimes gets a break by sheer pace. Nothing more.

Like Frank Bunce, a great centre needs to want to tackle. JJ does not want to tackle. He does not look easy doing it.

Saffex talks of his 12/1 stats against NZL but how many of those were 1 on 1, chop the man down type tackles. Very few if any. All the pics I have shown him we can see him swinging from Jerseys or needing another players assistance. Way too high and a player can get the offload everytime!

Anyway, Beeno, why is JJ getting so much airtime when we have not tested Serfontein yet.

What if the answer to our current troubles at centre can be solved by Serfontein who shows way more than JJ ever has? Possibly shift Jean to 13 (although I feel Jean has always played his best rugger at 12) and bring Serfontein into 12 for an extended run. Maybe Serfontein is that guy that Jean needs inside him to make him an awesome 13.

JJ will be back but he will never learn to have skill. You have it or you dont. Not something you can learn mid rugby career (18 -32 must be classed as a career) and he has never produced anything that a Conrad Smith or Jonathan Davies, Brian o' Driscoll or one of the better centres around have. To boot, he is a lottery on defence. He is a gas man and not much else. If he was not that fast, he would actually not even play 1st team club rugby. He has got by on pace alone. He used his pace to beat Savea but that will only happen against minnow teams. Its the AB's we wana beat..Not the Scots in a blow out!

aaaah Frank Bunce now there's a centre who lit up a backline.  My favourite of all time I'll never forget the Brial incident ....I heard after that he wanted to become a boxer but was told he would have to actually hit a person to do that.  Ask redneck he knows all about it.

Fuck me there is thick and then you get CHICKEN........so JJ beat Savea with pace, next CHICKEN will be telling us JJ is quicker than Savea and thats why he beat him with pace............bwhaaaahaaaaa.

Trust this dolt to completely miss how JJ beat Savea.......he only understands the basics......subtleties form no part of his grasp........not that JJ's beating was that subtle........it was pure skill of the highest order.......he attacked Savea's inside shoulder with a show of the ball, causing Savea to hestitate and then bang he beat him on the outside. It was the perfect in out.......just what you want from your test 13 against the best side in the world. Its easier to beat a man with an inside step, its a different kettle of fish beating a defending back on the outside......its the mark of a quality attacking player. Lets not forget his defensive stats against Oz and NZ - 23 tackles made, 3 missed vs Jean who made 22 and missed 5.

Then in the same game he beat Cruden with a perfect step. This lad showed more with ball in hand in one game against the best than Fourie possibly ever has as Fourie has never beat players with pace and feet.........he has always been about strength and good support play.

Good old CHICKEN is too thick to comprehend all this........his take is that JJ beat Savea with pace.........bwaaaahaaaaaaaa........maybe the Kiwi's should move Savea to prop!!

These idiot anti JJ posters must be really impressed with Fourie's contribution in the last two tests against a Welsh side without Davies and Roberts at centre and the mighty Scotland......it does not get better than 11m gained in 2 tests........wow........not to mention not a single defender beaten or clean break made. Lets not forget the two impressive fumbles that cost us two turnovers. This is just what we want against France at 13, I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saffex, are you sure that Fourie has never beat players on the outside with pace and footwork?? I will give you a few mins to think about that and then I will show you some great Fourie moments. Now think about this one before responding.

JJ beat Savea well with pace but Savea was caught up by himself. 1 on 1 an attacker should always beat a defender, especially with that much space. JJ built up a good head of steam, looked like he was gona go left then he swerved right. Savea was flat footed, JJ was at full pace. How can Savea sprint up at full pace on defence? Savea was always up against it there. JJ could have gone in and out with his pace. We see Aplon doing this 3 or 4 times a game in much tighter situations. Savea was alone. JJ had options either side.

This is why I ask, have you ever played the game. If you did, you would know how easy that is to do against a flat footed defender in space. JJ basically got the ball at a fullback position and was at full speed by the time he reached Savea. Any movement left or right at that pace against a single defender will see the attacker run past if he has half a clue as you would expect at international level.

It looked impressive Dave but pls, put it in to perspective. It was run of the mill stuff and even then, an isolated incident for JJ.

Yeah right, Beeno ... spouting that nonsense of yours again, I see.

JJ has cemented nothing. The only definite from where I'm sitting is that he's not that important to Meyer any longer ... cause have a lookie see ..... no JJ in the match 23.

Mike and ol Stupid have been praying for a Bok loss ever since Meyer took over as coach. They've made such idiots of themselves that if we do lose, and we will at some stage or another they'll feel their horseshit is justified.

All we need now is a third fool to join their ranks and what we'll have is the three stooges.

Hey Beeno ... what you doing for the holidays ... you interested  maybe ... ???

CC, thats exactly what I said on another thread...If we lose to the French, according to Saff and Mike, it will have nothing to do with the fact that its been a long tour, we are playing the finalists of the last WC in their back yard and they are a great team. It will have everything to do with Fourie and Alberts..

Its almost as if they are willing the Boks to lose and hoping with all their mite that we do so they can say, "I told you so!"

Very strange these two "Bok" supporters!

Tell ya I'm pleased Fourie has been chalked up at 13 for the coming test cause the likelihood of facing Fofana and Bastareaud this weekend as the French center pair will definitely test our defense.

There's no room for upright JJ.

Not sure what kind of shape Bastareaud is in at the moment. He tends to run to fat quite quickly but if he's in shape, he's a difficult man to bring down.

An awesome player when on song.

Take nothing away from Fofana. He can rip you a new one if your not careful.

Should be a cracker.

Nahh Bastaraud is a nothing. Ask Saffex. LOL. Bastareaud may not be the quickest of all but very few defenders bring him down easily. JJ is not one of them. I don't think that he will get a full 80 min, if he plays. He often comes on off the bench for Toulon, but when he comes on he gives everything.

And he can tackle as well. Ask Israel Dagg.

Ha ha so CHICKEN reckons an attacker should always beat a defender one on one..........WOW.

You will find that Savea was at good pace when he squared up to JJ, JJ beat him with pure skill. So lying about Savea being flat footed carries no weight.......he ended up being flat footed when JJ beat him with skill, dumbass.

'Caught up by himself' what the fuck is that?

This clown CHICKEN should just do us all a favour and pack it in. He should always follow, never lead......too bloody thick

1 on 1, an attacker should always beat a defender. He is the one that holds the cards you dumb fuck..The defender has to guess what the attacker is going to do. He could go left, right, chip over or do anything.

Dave, you have clearly never played this game. That is for sure. Or maybe you did and the reason you never made it past tiddly winks is because you didnt know how to beat a defender.

JJ got the ball in a fullback position, Savea came up. He could not come up at full pace as you say Dave. How the fuck would he effect the tackle if both are at full pace? All JJ would have to do is step out of his way if he was at full pace. Savea came up alone and JJ was at full pace. JJ shaped left making Savea amble to his right and at full pace went right. Savea was always gona be left for dead.

Go look at every situation where you see a fullback take the ball at the back and run it up. Nearly everytime they are 1 0n 1 with a defender, they beat them easily. Had JJ not beaten Savea there he would have fucked up! He just had a lot more pace than Savea, thats all!

Listen to this CHICKEN shit and to think it says it plays rugby in NZ......no wonder a fellow Kiwi poster on here, disclosed what an insulting level this clown actually played at. Equated it to a bunch of fat faggots having a fondle.

One can pick this up from this clowns take on the game. Hell 1 on 1 an attacker should always beat a defender......now if that was the case, the game we love would be one hell of a boring one........it would be just too easy. But hey its the CHICKEN at work here........just roll with it!

JJ got the ball in a fullback position??????? Does this clown know where a fullback positions himself.......JJ was nowhere near nor did he have anything to do with being in a fullback position.......how bloody absurd, but it is CHICKEN.

Who said Savea was at full pace......did I not say he was at a good pace......much like JJ was not at full pace.

Oh CHICKEN, really is the dumbest rugby scribe I have ever come across........he is too thick to understand the basics of the game. I have already exposed him as a liar with his assertion that I selected Mnisi as my 12..........but another certainty is the fact that this bloke does not play the game, never has done and if he says he does, he is LYING. No-one can be that out of tune with the basics of the game and maintain they actually play it........what bullshit.

CHICKEN should just man up and admit he has never played the game before. 1 on 1 attacker should always beat the defender..........bwaaahaaaaaa

Good one CHICKEN........what was it again......'caught up by himself'.......would that be with his bootlaces, huh......bwaaaahaaaaahaaaa........you could just not make this shit up.

CHICKEN should write a book
