HM.....
October 17, 2013, 12:56:48

our much maligned national coach, copped stick and then some but to the dismay of myself and others he has done remarkably well. That said, I still believe that some of his selections leave a lot to be desired and one can only wonder what he could achieve if he got rid of the duds. The guy can coach,of that there is no doubt, he might even prove to be a better coach than JW but for that to happen his selections will have to sharpen up. Woolli Bulli is high on my list of duds, closely followed by Juandre Kruger not to mention lead with the elbow Flip-Flop.

Still, with half an engine firing HM U turned the ordinary into a competitive Bok machine which in turn has restored our faith and pride in the jumper.

There is a sleeping giant under HM's care, with a bit of tinkering and with a growing pool of talent to draw from that giant could one day rise and dominate world rugby.

One thing for sure, under HM the nightmare we suffered with the clumsy dope PDV has al but disapeared.

The obvious selection change is the Woolie Boolie. He was so poor defensively at Ellis Park....Heineke has to have registered that. The lock situation will resolve itself....Juandre isn't physical enough. That said nobody gives him any  credit. The turnover that gave JJ the ball before the half was secured on the deck by Juandre.

There are also questions about scrum half when Fourie isn't available, and outside centre

Dernny

Mozart find fault with Kirchner's tackling - but keep mum on the disasters caused by Morne in his performance and Morne's own tackling deficiencies that cause most of the AB's tries.  The main question is the flyhalf position and the loosie situation where the AB's outplayed ours totally.   The weakest link is Alberts.   Kruger was a total void in line-outs - so I would say we need drastic improvement in four positions, namely full back, flyhalf, blindside flank and lock - provided nthat the flank at the same time is a solid line out player as well to allow for variation.

There are question marks about Engelbrecht - but they are not as pressing as the oher four listed positions.

Actually no....the NZ loosies never "outplayed ours totally" ...as you claim. Their three starting loosies made 37 of 46 tackles for a 78% success ratio.....mediocre at best. Our loosies made 18 of their 19 tackles for a 95% success ratio. We were much better in the tackle. As for metres gained they were marginally better at 117 metres gained in 19 carries...we made 105 metres in 20 carries. I'd give the edge to NZ with 3 tries and one assist vs our two assists. But there was no dominance.

Mozartt

Are you weird or what?  The third fabrication today.   How many tries did the AB loosies scored?  How many tackles were made by their loosies in open field play compared to ours?   How many turnovers did they affect compared to ours?  The answers of all those functions give an indication to how they outplayed us COMPERHENSIVELY.   THE DOMINANCE WAS ABO[removed]E.

First of all - there loosies made 41 tackles - not 38 - ie more than double the number than our loosies made   How many of their missed tackles let to tries?

All this top protect the image of Alberts - who missed a crucial tackle abd fell over his feet before Messam core his first try.   Poor effort at best Mozart.

ou maaaaikie were you under the influence when watching the test. We dominated territory, possession and try scoring opportunities. Yoiur take on the lkoosies is way out. No balance to it at all.
Please think before posting - there's is a good fellow. All you are achieving is giving the delusional ab fans here more to be delusional about.

Thanks

I am not deluding any fans.   There tight five did not match our - despite the rubbish poerformances of Kruger - but their loosies were better than ours.   That is proven by all info available on the match.   More than anything else their loosies won the game for them - a game they should never have won - but was lost because of atrociously poor defence by Morne, Alberts and Engelrecht and absolute idiocy by Morne just as the halftime siren was about to go off.

I wouldn't change HM but surely someone asked him why THE frontrow switch . Is he so inflexible that's its a case of , "bliksem donder, we on their tryline, they're a man down but [removed]kit its the 50th minute & I must stick to our game plan ?"

Gosh let's see Messam made 10, McCaw made 13 and Read made 14. Ten plus thirteen plus fourteen....um is that 41. Um no...no it's not, it's 37. Let me guess in your haste to kick the dog, get your finger out your snout and post....you missed my opening sentence. Hell I never said 38 in any case....I said 37.

The thing that's so funny is, you not only get it totally wrong....but you are so confident you start with an insult. Once again OOM you just can't stop yourself. Now piss off you [removed].

Agreed Denny, Meyer has improved on the gameplan front but needs to get his selections right.

The biggest obstacle to progress is Morne at 10....he is the first that has to go, followed by the ineffective Juandre Kruger, then Kirchner.......the balance in our loosies is wrong as well.......too much brawn no finesse

Mozart

Lets see - how many tackles did Cane and Luatua made after they came on.  Clever Mozart added the tackles by Kolisi - but not those by the AB replacements.   Trying to mislead us by using false stats again?

The thing that's so funny is, you not only get it totally wrong....but you are so confident you start with an insult. Once again Mozart you just can't stop yourself.

Worse still - you end with an insult as well. So piss off you [removed].

Moz, you probably won't agree but I would add Ruan Pienaar to the list of Duds.....he's been around for how long now but I've yet to see what impact he makes.

Denny, I think Pienaar will do much better in NH conditions.

Mate, a lot of SAFFA players do well in NH conditions. Apologies if that sounds a bit sarcastic but I can't hack a scrummie who runs crosfield to unleash a pass, who has his boxkicks charged down and is a tad slower than my garden gnome. Any comparisons between him and Joost or FDP would be a complete joke.
