ITM Cup premiership semis
October 14, 2013, 03:58:59

The ITM cup premiership semi finals coming up on the weekend so 'it's business, it's business time' as the song goes...

On Saturday Canterbury secured a home semi by whipping North Hahahabour 38-0 at Albany Stadium. So they will be playing the Auckland Jaffas in one semi.

In the other semifinal Counties who dispatched Southland on the weekend will face premiership leaders Wellington.

Therefore a Wellington vs Canterbury final looks on the cards all things going to plan unless Tana's boys can perform a miracle by beating the Lions.

counties have had a stellar year, fresh from their promotion to the premiership they have locked up the ranfurly shiled for the year and made the semi finals, no small feat by any stretch of the imagination.

some good mathces in the championship division too, tasman vs southland and otago vs hawkes bay.
tasman has been IMO the surprise team for 2013, even if they are playing in a lower tier, IMO they must be he favourites to get promoted to the premiership after bay of plenty secured the prems wooden spoon and with it a one way ticket to the championship league.

some good ITM rugby coming up, its a pity its on the same weekend as the All Blacks test.

maybe they should of played the otgao vs hawkes bam match as curtain raiser to the bledisloe dead rubber, :ermm:
