Pumas - Springbok gane
August 24, 2013, 23:17:43
This really was a disgustingly poor performance by the Springboks - the Pumas in fact deserved to win this game. There was a number of weaknesses shown by the Springboks and those are the following:-

* I have been saying time and time again - you cannot go into a game with immobile loosies - it just does not work. The Pumas were all over the Springboks at tackle situations - while there were no Springbok loosies anywhere in sight. We lost possessipn as a result.

* The ball handling was shockingly poor as well. Loosing the ball in tackle situations - knocking on balls - iffu paases - you name it is was all in evidence.

* Basson cannot defend ay all and it is time we realize that - him and Engelbrecht is a deadly combination. Engelbrecht badly missed the tackle on Bosch - when the latter scored the Pumas second try - Basson did the same with their first try.

If this is the best we can do - we are dead and buried against the Wallabies and All Blacks - that is for bloody sure. I really am disgusted by the Springboks performance. We cannot expect to win the rest of the games in the Championship this year - unless Meyer starts to wake up and get his selections right.

Forget about a back row combination of Louw - Alberts - Vermeulen - it is deadly ineffective.- the combination produces negative results in performance today and will be worse against the All Blacks and the Wallabies. Furthermore we can be sure of one thing and that is that Basson is way past his sell-by date.

Somebody should actually take Engelbrecht on a tackling course - am afraid that Mozart is roight about the reservations he expressed on that one - just not good enough at present. And he did near to zero on attack as well.

WHAT A BLOODY MESS!!!!!!!
