Aussie monster playing for Griquas

 I see Griquas have signed a young Aussie lock for the CC. Rory Arnold is 23, 2.06m and 130kg......played for one of the combined county sides against the touring Lions this year

Sounds promising... Will Skilton another serious unit - tipping scales around 135kg and ~2.05m. First season with Tahs this year and he looked good - brought a bit destruction to fwd pack - just what aussie forward pack needs IMO - some go forward and aggression - all the wobs forwards seem to be technically talented but lack the upfront size - see how they go against saffas / this weekend though.

mate... if you're all going to live here better get use to the trend as most aussies don't play rugby........... sad but true fact it is.

Don't forget kerr-barlow / franks - aussie born lads..... that's alright though

Pointless debate Susker - as bulk of the plyer you name above are from Tonga or Samoa anyway.

Fact 1 did you know up until the 1850s NZ was just an offshore territory of NSW....

Fact 2 1901 Australian constitution allows for the 'state' of new Zealand to be added.....

So when you soak up these facts (particularly Fact 1) all new Zealanders are via Australian extraction anyhow................

@yellowman,

have some respect for urself, typical aussie rugby fan playing the role of the desperate housewife and clutching for dear life at NZ rugbys coattails for any kind rugby recognition,,,,, tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk, how pathetic.

ok redsneck, cant believe i feel sorry for u. u can cheer for the All Blacks, but sit in the back row, cos cloudzter warhammer, hakwa san, mr win, brycy, ploy, nuke, steinlarger, and any other real All Black fans get ppriority, ok???

now pick urself up of the floor, jeebers,

Saffex

A Griquas contract means that he is in line for selection for the Cheetahs in Super 15 next year. That is of course depending on his performance. If he measures up - he and De Jager will make an awesome lock combination for the Cheetahs next year.

Even in that event - he may not get into any of the Aussie Super 15 squads and may decide to stay so as to enhance his selectablility afterwards. Lets wait and see what happens.
