howdy yall, sorry if this got ur hopes up, but just wanted to let u know that the coaces are delaying the naming of thier teams in a bid to not give away any info which might give other teams an advantage. hopefully this dosent effect our fantasy tournys too much.

luke romano from the crusaders and nick white the halfback from the brumbies are battaling injuries in a bid to be fit for the finals and white has confirmed that george smith is a definate 100% starter.
considering the average perofrmance of smith in the thrid lions test due to a head knock and his starting on the bench last week, he might be worth some serious consideration.

anyway good luck to all ur teams both fantasy and officially and i will be cheering the crusaders and cheetahs hard this weekend, :o)

Thanks Rooinek

I have already started to make immediate selections before the team announcement and had already Sam Whitelock, Kieran Read, Dan Carter and Tom Marshall in my team for Foxport. I have all the above, plus Ryan Crotty, Corey Flynn and Israel Dagg in my Test Rugby squad - all leftovers from last week. I will be buggered if the Crusaders lose against the Reds - since I have only 9 transfers left and hope to use same in the semis and final.

I am struggling with the rest - but will not change Lappies and Oosthuizen and has already bought George Smith - so my loosies are likely to be Read, Smith and Labuschagne. I am sure Genia will play - and he is an obvious pick as a scrummie. I am struggling to find a lock to go with Sam Whitelock and the second prop will be Slipper. My main problem remains centers and OB's other than Tom Marshall.

*update*

crusaders have been updated, :o)

crusaders team look the goods, should be too strong for the reds in chch, but the kiwis do bring out the best from mackenzies reds, but not in chch.
McCaws inclusion is a nice bonus, he will be a little rusty though so he will only be as good as 2 reds players instead of 4 which is his normal going rate, :oP
i really like the looks of the crusaders bench, all are super rugby seasoned players.

If the Crusaders lose it's going to poo poo on a lot of peoples fantasy teams.

I already have 5 of them. Could go to 6 easily.

Dagg

Carter

Whitelock

Romano

Matt Todd

Test Rugby Selection

Basically I believe that the Crusaders and Cheetahs have winning chances this weekend - so I am going biftime with players from those two teams. That would mean minimal changes for the semis and the Final. Lets hope it works out - otherwise I am a dead duck for the remainder of the series.

reds have been updated, :o)

@mikey,
yeah after looking at that reds team, im even more convinced of a crusaders victory too, with everything going the crusaders way with home advantage, players and head to head records, its hard to look past the crusaders, but theres no team in the entier spXV better suited for this encounter against those odss then fat boy mackenzies reds.

i also love ur optimisim regarding the cheetahs, cos i wrote them off big time. i hope im wrong though even if it comes at the expense of my testrugby team, easy to say when ur sitting 7th i guess, LMAO, :oP

I will have 7 Crusaders in my Test Rugby side and probably 1 Reds player and 4 Cheethas - no Brumbies this time around. I am normally not a great believer in Cooper - he was wicked last week - but he kicks at goal and I am not seriously impressed by either of the other two flyhalfs on Saturday. The only tother alternative was Leai'ifano - but I am writing him out as a losing side player and the bugger was injured and may or may nt play.

In the Foxsport side - the situation is substantially different - although I think that Genia is a must and am doing the hesitation waltz between a few players. Maybe De Jager or Simmons at lock - I actually fancy De Jager - and am not sure who I actually want at Center and wheter to go with Mogge or le Roux at OB.

I have a dream though and that s that the Cheetahs will do to the Brumbies - what they did to the Blues. Another thing the "C's" are dominating all other letters of the alphabet this week so the Crusaders and Cheetahs for this week.

@mikey,

"Another thing the "C's" are dominating all other letters of the alphabet this week so the Crusaders and Cheetahs for this week."

BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA, :oD
that might have to be the single greatest reason for why a team will win this weekend, :o)

hope ur dreams come true, and u know what else, if i was allowed to have the cheetahs win but at the expense of the crusaders losing, i would go with that too, as IMO chiefs wont lose in hamilton during the finals.
a cheetahs to do number like they did on the blues??? in order for them to do that they need home ground advantage, they faced only one top 6 team away from SA and were subsquently destroyed.
i maybe sounding like a parrot, but the cheetahs 2013 draw was a huge stepping stone for their first finals appearance.

my flyhalves are going to be carter and leilafano, i expect them to both be in the semis.

ive got de jager and whitelock in my foxsport team with carter (brumbies lock) on the bench, but i might swap carter and de jager around considering the good performances of carter.
simmons as u mentioned is also another good option and im seriously considering him now too.

As expected - the last team to be announced will inevitably be the BRUMBIES. Jake White to be crowned a arsehole of the tournament with the piss pot throne and be given a few snotklappe as well.

nice looking team from the cheetahs, is francois uys injuered??? his partnership with de jager has been very dependable for the cheetahs, im a big fan of both these players, but de jager especially.

still convinced that brumbies will win easy, but GO CHEETAHS GO - KICK ARSE.

Still have 4 spots to fill, but it will probably be 2 cheetahs, 2 Brumbies, and the rest Crusaders on my team.

That Cheetah Brumbie game is a toss up. If both teams bring their best I believe the Brumbies will win. The problem is though, if the Brumbies don't bring their "A" game, the Cheetahs will win.

Looking back on it the Force game last week had all the ingredients of a classic trap game for the Brumbies with so many of their players coming off one of the most emotionally draining Test series ever and facing a well-rested team on the other side of the Australian continent that they were supposed to beat easily.

This week will be different as they are another week removed from the Lions tour, its the playoffs and they had a big snotklap wake-up call last week. It would be an exceptional feat in my mind for the Cheetahs to pull off a victory. Brumbies superior kicking game and big wingers will be the difference makers.

Crusaders (on paper) cannot loose they seems to be a shadow All Black team.  So my choice here will be Crusaders.

Cheetahs have been the thorn in the side of many a team, even on their away games.  And just because Jake has a big mouth I will be rooting for the Cheetahs.

It is Friday evening in Australia already and the Brumbies team has not been announced as yet. I checked the Brumbies website - the Canberra newspapers - Rugby 365 and all the other sites that normally provides the team info - NOTHING.

There is still 26 hours or so to go before closing time and White may even announce the expected team after closing time - I hope the Brumbies get whacked because of that one.

Cleancut and Rooinek

Thank you gentlemen. Where the hell did you find the team. I checked the sites mentioned by me an hour ago and came up with one big zero.

I am not going to select any Brumbies players and only one Reds player for Test Rugby because of limited transfers available - hope they lose on Sunday and the Crusaders and Cheetahs win - that would save me in that one. With unlimted transfers and oodles of money - I have no problem with the Foxsport selections though.

I was seriously considering Tomane for the Test Rugby side - because he is listed as a center in that case - - but decided against it in any event.

By the way Rathbone and Smith is in the starting line-up because of their "experience" in matches in the final stage of the competition. I cannot undertand that one - Tomane is in all respects a better wing and Smith has been up and down in form this year. I can stomach Smith- but Rathbone????????

brumbies have been updated, :o)

im a little baffaled with white starting rathbone over tomane too, tomane is by far the way better winger.
no surprises regarding the brumbies team other then that selection though, no surprises reagrding any of the teams IMO.

i have to admit, knowing that ive got a finite number of transfers adds a bit of excitment to the testrugby fantasy, and thats something that fox sport should consider doing as well.
my team will be chock block full of crusaders with a sprinkle of brumbies players.

but thats all teams named so good luck gentlemen and start ur fantasy engines, :o)

LK Sam Whitelock CRU

LF Lappies Labuschagne CHE

LF Kieran Read CRU

HV Quade Cooper RED

HV Dan Carter CRU CT Robert Ebersohn CHE

CT Ryan Crotty CRU

OB Tom Marshall CRU

OB Israel Dagg CRU

I have gone the whole hog with the Crusaders going through to the final by beating the Reds and from this perspective I hope the brumbies Beat the Cheetahs - in which event I will bring in five Bulls players for the semis. If the Crusaders lose I am buggered badly.

FOXSPORT

LF Kieran Read, George Smith, Lappies Labuschagne

As much as I want the Cheetahs to win, as you can see from my selections, my head says otherwise. I think it'll be home wins from here on in meaning the Chiefs will beat the Bulls in the final in Waikato. The Bulls are going to regret that loss to the Hapless Stompies!

I would actually prefer the Brumbies to beat the Cheetahs - because I am sure the Bulls would beat the brumbies at home. I also think that the Crusaders will then beat the Chiefs - bearing in mind especially the latest massacre in Hamilton.

In such an event the Bulls will have to play the Crusaders in Pretoria in the final. The whole applecart will be upset if the Cheetahs beat the Brumbies. In such an event the Crusaders will have to play the Bulls in Pretoria and the Cheetahs the Chiefs in the semis - virtually ensuring that the Bulls will have to play the Chiefs in Hamilton in the final.

However, it is not critical as to the team selections. Even though I favour quite a lot of the Cheetah players to score good points - I think the game would be tight and in such a situation to best point scorers often comes from the losing side. I have four Cheetahs players in the Test Rugby side and can change them with ease in the semis. I did not take Leai'ifano - because I cannot see the Brumbies beating the Bulls in Pretoria.

I'm not that patriotic.

First of all I don't want the Bulls to win anything. Hate the [removed]s!! Could care less whether they're South African.

Nor the Brumbies and Reds cause they're ozzies ... so it boils down to the Cheetahs, Crusaders and Chiefs.

Cheetahs tops my list.

@mikey,

the hiding that the crusaders gave the chiefs wasnt in hamilton, it was in christchruch. the crusaders lost to the chiefs in hamilton earlier this year and also in the semifinals this year.

i agree with rooy, IMO its going to be home teams from here on out, but the crusaders v chiefs or the crusader v bulls will be again IMO te only possible exception but 70-30 in the home teams favour.

havent finsihed my teams, but will post it here too when finalised.
