I am really never interested in Hurricanes players - because they are yo-yo performers - as from a fantasy sport selection perspective fail more than they succeed. Victor Vito is the exception and he may just make my team for this Round.

Never select Kings players as well - so that one is of academic value as well.

The really problematic one would be the Sharks - with Plumtree having left already. I am particularly interested in whether Reinach will start at scrummie or not. None of the other Shark players would be in my starting list anyway.

Thanks for the correction. I have made the necessary adjustment to the tiem.

I have already made three transfers - based on the starting teams, and have only three transfers left. If Reinach is in the Sharks starting line-up - I would bring on Board -

* OB - Ranger and Ben Smith; and

* FL - Luke Braid or Reid

If not - I will have to change my scrummie and go for the OB's as mentioned. That would mean I am stuck with Marcel Coetzee - who have not shown anything much this year - at loosie.

1 Coenie Oosthuizen, 1 Adriaan Strauss (c), 3 Lourens Adriaanse, 4 Lodewyk De Jager, 5 Ligtoring Landman, 6 Heinrich Brussow, 7 Lappies Labuschagne, 8 Philip van der Walt, 9 Piet van Zyl, 10 Riaan Smit, 11 Raymond Rhule, 12 Robert Ebersohn, 13 Johann Sadie, 14 Willie le Roux, 15 Henry Daniller

Repplacements : 16 Ryno Barnes, 17 Tevor Nyakane, 18 Waltie Vermeulen, 19 Boom Prinsloo, 20 Sarel Pretorius, 21 Elgar Watts, 22 Howard Mnisi

Strong team - no rel surprises since Uys is injured. Never hears of Waltie Vermeulen and Howard Mnisi before.

@oimatey,

thanks for this bro, i am on holiday at the moment and in very lazy mode, so my time here will be very minimal, so im going to use this thread for my team selections and roll back to normal next week, :o)

but regarding the bulls team from bok bef$k, i thought olivier had already left the bulls for france or where ever hes heading??? its only the kings so i can see why he might be named and jj on the bench.

Waltie Vermeulen has been with the Cheetahs for some time now. Solid enough player.....one of those players not really big enough for lock, but does a good enough stop gap.

Mnisi is an ex Sharks junior centre now playing for Griquas. By all accounts a good player. He is 23 and a big unit at 100kg or so.

The selection of Olivier and Serfontein is buggering up my selections for the week. I had Engelbrecht as center and had to replace him now. I have still got to find two OB's but wanted Ranger and Smith - but neither the Blues not the Highlanders team has been announced.

Neither has the Sharks team announced - I suppose it is the boardroom crisis that cause that problem. I hope Reinach and Marcel Coetzee is starting. I aimed to change Coetzee for Luke Braid - but could not since I had to replace an unforeseen center. I have only 2 transfers left and would use those to complete the OB selection.

Several teams resting their Test players, CM - throws a wrench in the lineups though :) Will be playing my wildcard this week in FoxSports so selection is easier than usual, the hard part will be figuring out who to start !!

You may still have problems if you use your wild card when in Round 20 -

* The Australian players are back on board;

* The test players return to he fold; and

* The Cheetahs have a bye

Wonder how many transfars we will have in that round - hope it is 6 - not less.

I think your opponent in The Cup will not survive this week - he can at best with 6 transfers have a squad of 11 players and his opponent has his wildcard still available. By using his wildcard he beat you to survive one more round - what really was the purpose of that?

Blues

1 Tim Perry, 2 James Parsons, 3 Angus Ta'avo, 4 Anthony Boric, 5 Ali Williams, 6 Stephen Luatua, 7 Luke Braid, 8 Peter Saili, 9 Piri Weepu, 10 Chris Noakes, 11 Geroge Moala, 12 Francis Saili, 13 Jackson Willison, 14 Frank Halai, 15 Charles Piutau

Replacements : 16 Kevin Mealamu, 17 Ofa Tu'ungafasi, 18 Kane Barrett/ Culum Retallick, 19 Brendon O'Connor, 20 Jamison Gibson-Park, 21 Baden Kerr, 22 Rene Ranger

This put pay to my idea to play Ranger as OB. Tough luck.

Sharks and Blues updated - thanks Rooi and Mikey. Only waiting on the Highlanders, as usual.

Surprised Ranger is not playing in a must-win for the Blues. He only started the final Test. Spent a Testrugby transfer on him already because I was convinced he would play.

I have two important changes to make on the Foxsport selections and one in respect of the Test Rugby squad. Is eyeing Ben Smith for those. He was on the Re-Union programme and made no indication that he would be or would not be playing on Saturday. I have a strange feeling that -

* Hansen advised the NZ franchises not to play key All Black players in less crucial games to avert possible injuries to them; and

* the fact that Smith was "out of town on the Re-Union programme indicated he might not play this weekend.

The Highlanders does not have much to gain from the game - so I think it would be rated as a non-crucial game for them.

However, their remains a problem and the problems name is Josephs. He has not named a team yet and the time is running short on that one. Joseph is likely to earn the title "Arsehole of the Week" and the piss pot crown will suit him just fine. If the team is not announced by 08:00 tomorrow - I for one is going to leave him out - and will have to think about Savea (even though I really feel he is a sheister) and Le Roux as OB's for this weekend.

Engelbrecht of the Kings I presume? have a look at their average per game point score and then pick the one with the highest points - at least that is my advice to you. I spared you the problem and there is very little difference between than: Engelbrecht - 210 : Shields 204.

Personally I would not go with either. I prefer Labuschagne (258) or Vito (244) or even Braid (211). I in fact went for Vito, Labuschagne and Coetzee on Foxsport (the latter because I ran out of transfers) and on Tes Rugby with Labuschagne and Braid.

Now you've added another guy into my mind. Vito may have to be picked. This is a tough week. A lot of guys on the bench.

I checked around and found he following team of the Highlanders on Rugby 365:-

Highlanders: 15 Ben Smith, 14 Kade Poki, 13 Tamati Ellison, 12 Shaun Treeby, 11 Hosea Gear, 10 Colin Slade, 9 Fumiaki Tanaka, 8 Mose Tuiali'i, 7 Elliot Dixon, 6 Jarrad Hoeata, 5 Josh Bekhuis, 4 Brad Thorn, 3 Ma'afu Fia, 2 Andrew Hore (captain), 1 Tony Woodcock. Replacements: 16 Liam Coltman, 17 Bronson Murray, 18 Jake Paringatai, 19 TJ Ioane, 20 Aaron Smith, 21 Lima Sopoaga, 22 Ma'a Nonu.

Problem as to Ben Smith solved. Now who else - choice is between Le Roux. Gear and Savea.

theres only so much nature walks and kayaking u can do in tasmnaia before the novelty wears off, still nice though and good fresh change from the usual activities, but my fantasy team has suffered as a result, i ran out of transfers in my test rugby spXV team and i accidentally recruited romano whose not playing instead of luatua whose money in the bank, :o/

have also adjusted my foxsport team for all eventualities.

did anyone else find recrutiing in the lions testrugby team a lot easier for the 2nd test???

hmmmmm, hope i programmed the foxtel IQ to record the games for me to watch this weekend, :o/
