Kolisi has just silenced his doubtors

I thought I'd see a lot of weaknesses from Kolisi today in his first test rugby. But all I saw was a great display from the lad. He's still developing, and I think he deserves to be in the Bok team.

The overall match was very frustrating, our forwards weren't dominating, which made Scotish boys look awesome than they really are.

Not completely. He still needs to slow the ball down better. At the moment he may be a better 7. Louw will take back the 6 jersey.

We had better remember that this is a second tier side and the Boks battled. Only Strauss, Etzebeth and Arno Botha look like starters in a full strength bok pack.

Beast Jannie, Juandre and Spies are looking like they are going to be replaced.

Louw is a must as is Arno if fit so who will the third loosie be. Vermuelen is a consideration as is Alberts and Labbers. So no its by no means certain that Kolisi is the guy yet.

I am looking forward to seeing Kolisi and others against Samoa.

@ Beeno,

he is not a finished product yet. But he's got a lot of potential to become one of best. The guy has great strength and tackles very well. He might need to work on slowing down the ball, but that is the only thing slightly lacking in his skills so far IMO.

Talk about grabbing your opportunities with both hands. Well done Siya you really showed a few of the senior players what it should mean to wear the Bok jesrsey and for long periods you looked like you were the only one in the forwards that had any interest in playing the game.

As for Spies, he never once picked up the ball from the ground at the base of the scrum to help his scrummie. He should be discarded alltogether as this is not the first time he has been totally and untterly useless in every facet of the game.

Superb performance from Kolisi, deserves man of the match. Its unfortunate Arno Botha got injured but that gave Kolisi a opportunity which is what he needed. In the next test I suggest Kolisi at 7 and Louw at 6, that would bring a well balanced impact in the back row. Marcell Coetzee wasn't really impressive which is generally the case with Spies as well, Vermeulen is the real deal at 8, we need him.

Spies' contribution has been non-existent. I really wonder what Meyer sees in him, or probably he still hope the Spies of 2009 will be back at some point!

Duane Vermeulen is the man for the Boks at the moment, as you said Lucid, "he is the real deal"

I wasn't impressed with the Beast and Jannie Du Plessis either. These two guys in particular need to be rested IMO. Jannie gives away far too many silly penalties and the Beast's sharpness in what he does best is slowly dwindling.

But the Cheetahs front row is alive and kicking, and most of these guys are still fresh, i.e. Nyakane and Connee
