Lions vs Kings
May 30, 2013, 12:58:02

The rugby hungry province of the Eastern Cape come out in their droves to cheer their team on, while in Johannesburg we see small pockets of supporters scattered across the stadium. It’s been like that since forever it seems.

The Kings have surprised all with their gutsy performance this season and are on the verge of upsetting the hapless stompies this weekend.  Gooooooooooo Kinggggggggsssss!!!!!

Would it be fair to say that perhaps the current Super Rugby franchises remain as is for next season? No relegation matches!

That the Lions and the area they represent be absorbed equally between the Bulls and the Cheetahs … or whatever??

I am a Lion supporter and can no longer bear the farce. To be quite honest, they do not deserve to play super rugby.

Look at what the Cheetahs have achieved this year as well the Kings in their first season. It's to be proud of.

As a whole … what has the Lions done for SA rugby in the last 10 years? Squat … that’s what!!

I think the Kings will produce a lot of talented players the Bokke could draw upon and as awful as it may be, perhaps the Kings should be given a proper shot at it.

So you are saying your province, which is the richest in South Africa and located in the biggest city in SA, must be written off.

I will grant that since the days of Luyt it has all been down hill. Mugs like van Rooyen destroyed a once great union reputedly the richest in the world, winner of the Super 10 and supplier of a wack of Bok player re our first WC win.

Lions are in the dwang now financially and De Klerk is trying to save the ship. It has even been asked were the Lions deliberately sabataged.

All the Lions need is a top administrator and good coaches and the ship can be righted. Given their potential financial clout they could be a roaring success again. Today financial clout is of the utmost importance although of course not the only factor.

CC you are in danger of becoming a rooitwit clone! Please oak one is enough!

"So you are saying your province, which is the richest in South Africa and located in the biggest city in SA . . ."

Ummmmm . . . Baboon-ou, I know you're not the shiniest coin in the fountain, but can you please explain how a province could be located in a city?

If that question makes your drool-powered brain hurt, just give us your definition of what a city is and what a province is and we'll try to work it out from there. Thanks!

"CC you are in danger of becoming a rooitwit clone! Please oak one is enough!"

Explain what you mean by that statement or is it just your usual meaningless twaddle?

Could you two twits please try and make a meaningful comment in relation to the topic.
