Best flyhalf in the.....
May 24, 2013, 13:29:03

country is Demetri Catrakilis and the best scrummie is Piet Van Zyl......still won't accept that the latter has been left out in the cold, let's be honest, the only reason Hougaard and the average Vermaak have been picked ahead of Van Zyl is because they are Bulletjies. Hougaard who we all believed was going to be the next best thing has sadly lost his mojo and Lambie and the talentless Jantjies have made no impression.

Denny to me Morne is a step ahead right now . Lambie and Cat are on a par or possibly Cat marginally ahead.

Lambie has a big chance this week end to up the ante as I guess has Cat against the Cheetahs.

Neither Hougie nor Jantjies should have been in the sqaud. Van der Walt should also have made it and no Kolisi and Rhule. Deon Fourie at 6 or if  that is too much to ask for, given he has not been playing there, try Brussouw - hopefully Louw will be back for the tests and in good nick.

Denny ... sadly what your saying is true.

A few of Meyers picks are definitely due to his allegiance to the Bulls.

He doesn't seem to notice the talented youngsters playing week in week out.

Truely baffling!!!!

Disagree on Vermaak being average, he has been very good in his last few games. It is a disgrace that v/Zyl never made the squad, especially considering Meyer identified him last year.

Also disgaree on Hougaard, he has been fine this year.

Beenkop, get a grip with your stupid out of touch idea that Fourie should be in the squad as a 6, he cant even make the Stormers starting 15 at 6.

Brussouw is the player that has missed out, not Fourie. The other to miss out is Philip v/d Walt

Everyone is an expert, how cool.  I agree that the Cat is good, but to make the step up to international sommer just like that will be difficult for Zorba, he needs some exposure and I think he will get that.

This Bulls thing is daft, I do not like them that much, but to lame Meyer is also daft, there are more Sharks than Bulls in the Bok team in the end, watch.

En daai outjie wat anner se taal so vloek, please get a life fool!  When you are inadequate and annot read or speak a language then you skip past it,fool.

Denny, Piet is a great player and will still get his chance, even Venter is a good option.

To be quite honest there are no SA 10's that have set the stage alight  and all have been pretty dismal. Unfortunately, Morne leads the pack of 'aimless kicks, absolutely predictable, poor distribution, very boring' SA 10's.

The 'Dingos' and AB's know exactly who they are going to play against and the game pattern the Boks are going to employ. Our rugby has become predicable and boring with too much brawn and no brains (our coaches stifiling any brains). Spies falls on the ground even before anyone is near him, "want ek spiel veilig"

The Cat has prospered and even shined as Solly has alowed him to play and express himself. The first thing on Meyers mind is to make sure we do not loose. So from the outset this is his ambition which is absolute crap. SA Rugby should take the 'Frogs' attitude and throw the unpredictable at the opposition. We are bursting with talent and youngsters. I say forget reputation and pick form.

So now i challenge all readers here to suggest a team that is purely based on the form players in each position. There you would have to choose The Cat.

Clean Cut, you are an absolute idiot to insult anyones language or culture. You should [removed].

Snapster please it took me ages to school you re vermaak and now at last you are getting a glimmer and secretly must surely  know he has been better than Hougie.

As for Fourie - after being Currie cup player of the year at 6 he was switched to hooker!! But lets face facts brussouw has not matched the form shown by Fourie at 6 since that Lions tour. So wake up and smell the roses.

Well said kalead if Meyer picked one bulle some oak would accuse him of Bias. Rediculous really.

Rugganutter I am very glad Meyer's firsrt concern is to win. Exactly right. It is sobering to think we would have only lost one test last year with that style of play had Morne kicked normally. Winning is everything. Do what ever it takes within the laws. The only reason I agree that the Stormers need to atatck better is because it would pay off - (provided ou Allistair got rid of most of his microlight backs).  Not because its pretty.
