Sharks versus Chiefies official thread
April 27, 2013, 10:56:38

Sharks did very well to come back in first half after a very poor start.

They have just been denied a try re a foward pass that was not forward. Pollack doing his thing. Denied sharks a penalty a moment before re slowing ball down.

Another vital ref blunder costs sharkies at least three points if not 7!

Sharks denied a second bonus point. However apart from the first quarter they were the better side.

Its is amazing to think the sharks have 17 players out. Seriously given a neutral ref and both sides at full strength there could only been one winner. Beast, Bissie, Alberts JP, Mvovo etc would have made a big difference. Match showed sharks have a lot of depth.

New comer Mtemba showed some ability but faded in second half. Minnie was good as was the newbie Lindeque. Frans is looking better - his weight was given as 116 kg - could need to lose say 6 kg?

Sharks were fast asleep at begining of match but after the first 20 minutes theyout gunned the chiefies.

A game they may well have won with their second string ala the Mighty Stormrs whipping the Canes with theirs.

Man what a pity these two teams have had these injury as I think we would have seen nz sides like the crusties and chiefies getting a  severe hiding.

Think kiwis unveiled their latest Bryce factor... Can't remember this kiwi refs name but definitely won that game for chiefs. Forth try off kick cheifs second row clearly in offside position as ball was kicked and kept moving forward should have been penalty to sharks... Big mistake or was it just another example of kiwis rigging the outcome of their games....?????

His name I think is Pollack and is your typical bent nz ref but nothing nearly as bad as brycy who was as bad as it gets.

What is odd is how the nz commentator thanks largely to Marshall - an outstanding guy - so often note the errors.

I really wonder what nz 's rugby record would be without their refs assistance.

I salute the sharks - 17 players out plus the worst of the jetlag factor and the come close to winning!

Like the Stormers they need to hang in and hope for a strong finish when players return.

..haha Moonbean,,,the Mighty Chiefs back in the top NZ conference teepee thanks to wombat team beating the blues ... thanks wombat Red how you like the Kiwis in your team now haha,,,....just too good the Mighty Chiefs....another game and another bonus point ....

...Moonbean how lucky were the rain puddle team to beat the Hurricanes by only one point....not very convincing Moonbean....lucky no Savea brothers and lucky you had a Kiwi ref aren't they the best...maybe a good time to buy a lotto ticket haha...

... how good were the Mighty Chiefs tonight giving you another free lesson on how to score tries.... just like at Newlands when we outscored the rain puddle team and got two bonus points....try to keep up with the Mighty Chiefs if you can... for future reference though Moonbean the tryline is the one with the goalposts  haha ...

Greetings my good friend sitting bull. I think sb you will, when sober and of sane mind,  realise this chiefs win is exremely hollow. Think of it 17 players out, travel and then a bent nz ref.

You will realsie when sober this showed the Sharks would hammer the wee chiefies taking away these factors I mention. Makes me sad of ocurse to tell you thsi! Hahahahahahahaha

Go the Almighty Chiefs.

Bean Brain the only thing hollow around here is your bean of a Brain you muppet. .

And i don't think the team you refer to as guppies are interested in your patronising dribble. I can imagine you saluting their team though - would look something like-

Firstly, congrats to the Chiefs. They, like the Sharks, needed a win to get themselves out of the little "slump" they slipped into over the past few weeks and they did that with a bonus point win.

Secondly, I love Sitting Bulls quote "Chiefs giving you another free lesson on how to score tries!" ha ha they got the win but they did not play better than the Sharks. Lets take Tim Nanai-Williams tries for example. Both of them were mistakes from Sharks. Dropped balls that should not have happened and he was gifted two tries. Only Tikorotuma's try off the line out was well worked. Bundee Ahki's try was also a "should never happen" moment as opposed to well worked try! Craig Clarke smashed Steph Du Toit over and that allowed Messam to break free. Take the first 20 mins out the game and Sharks dominated all facets of play and the score board. 29 - 13 to Sharks in the final 60 mins..Lets put that into perspective. Sharks 1st game on tour, playing the best NZ team who are at basically full strength, 17 injured players in the Sharks camp and further more, the frontline players we have were on the bench and still it took some tin arse luck for Chiefs to win.

I invite the Chiefs to come and play the Sharks in Durban, 1st game of a tour, 17 injuries and 5 frontline players on the bench and lets see if the Chiefs will give themselves a chance of winning. Not a chance. Very proud of the Sharks but as it has done all season, dropped balls and mistakes costing us dearly!

I dont see the Chiefs being in the final this year. They are a very beatable team and without the SBW factor, they just not that scary..

Excellent post Boklogic and only fault I can find was no mention of Pollack. He also shafted the Stormers last year - that time it was the Stormers being continually offsides.!!!

Nice to see ou brycy back as he has been down in the dumps since the Stormers second string beat the chiefies.

Moooooo la when the facts stay the same what can one do!
