Cape Town - Kings lock Steven Sykes says their 28-all draw against the Brumbies in Canberra has given them the belief that they can beat any team.
A try after the hooter by No 8 Cornell du Preez gave the men from Port Elizabeth a shock result against one of the competition's high-riding teams.
They conclude their Australasian tour against the Rebels in Melbourne on Saturday, and Sykes has assured fans the team has no intention of taking its foot off the pedal.
"Expect even more intensity," he told Die Burger's website.
The Kings vice-captain said they will not regard the Rebels as lessor opponents, despite the Melbourne side's second-last spot in the Australian Conference.
"We're here to play and to try and win. So there's no chance of us going into this clash undercooked.
"It (the Brumbies result) was huge for us. We took a lot of confidence from that.
"We now believe that we can win any match.
"It's not as if we didn't believe in ourselves before that, but the Brumbies result was really important to us."
Sykes also lauded some of the younger guys for the maturity they have displayed on tour.
"A guy like Sergeal (Petersen-wing) is constantly improving - and Wimpie (van der Walt - flank) and Cornell (du Preez - No 8) are brilliant. I'm also glad Rynier Bernardo (lock) got a chance."
Their clash against the Rebels kicks off at 11:40 (SA time) on Saturday
