how do you feel about JW coaching the Wallabies? .....and what do you think the reaction would be from the Ozzie Rugby public?

 Sorry for delayed response only just noticed the thread...

my 'feel' is that Ewen MCK has already done deal with ARU and will be the heir apparent to deans. The whole foreign coach thing (especially) kiwi coach has not worked. Deans is not a good man manger and really is only still there based on politically decisions by ARU ex chief.

as for JW I think he is an exceptional leader in that he identifies quality people and uses them to succeed. I would personally be happy if he did end up becoming wallaby coach but I would have to say the Aussie rugby public need an Aussie coach... After the failure of dingo deans idiotic tenure.. Aussies need to realise that ABs are not Demi gods and need to be smashed back to their pissy muddy little isle...

as a good kiwi mate of mine pointed out - if deans was actually any good do u think the kiwis would have let him go...?

But look at the absolute dross Dean's has to work with, JW will find out, you can't polish a turd and Oz rugby is about as about as dire as I've seen it in it's history, full of primadonnas, cheap shot merchants with barely a heart to share amongst them.

If JW was smart he'd run a mile in the other direction, unless he wants 'Coach of the All Blacks' bitches' on his CV.

australians are such simple creatures, very innocent but very stupid, its why its against the law to play with plastic bags in australia, cos the accidental fatality rate would be astronomical.

here are a few things that robbie achieved during his tenure as wallabies coach.

- when he took over from the wallabies, they were ranked 5th on the IRB ranking table. deans has them sitting at 3rd at the moment, but has for over 85% of his tenure had them sitting at No2, only last year did they finally lose that spot to the Boks after holding it for as long as they did.

- wallabies finsihed 5th in the 2007 RWC, deano coached them to 3rd place in 2011

- wallabies won the inaugral IRC, bringing the total to 3 from 17

- deano is the only wallabies coach to beat the Boks at SAs highvled.

despite all this, wallabies wnat to get rid of deano and i really hope they do, its not going to matter to the All Blacks, we will always win way more then we will lose against the team of yellow dinky dis, :o)

If all of that is true he was pretty stupid to take the job. But I rather think  poor selections, like Cooper and McCabe in their RWC team, blighted his tenure. They have teams in positions 2 and 3 on the S15 table....even though they are carrying one too many teams, for the depth of the Aussie game. There is a cadre of very good Aussie players.

Deans tried to get the Aussies to play a tighter .....ball on the ground game....gone are the cuts that guys like Mortlock and Joe Cool excelled at.  He simply missed the reality of Aussie relative competitive strength and weakness.

Sasue

Fact is I would love to see Deans as Springbok coach instead of Meyer.    The rubbish franchise selection will be gone and we will get only the best players in the team.   And we will  have a better backline performance than at present and have a much stronger teamn that can attack and defend properly.

@mozter,

i wouldnt say that slecting cooper for the RWC was a stupid move, in hindsight definately, but his selection was warranted, cooper had been carving up in the spXV & TriNats all year, walking away with both titles and having more then one memorable game in both levels.

@mikey,
only problem is, that still wouldnt be enough for the Boks to beat the All blacks, whcih would make beeno1 aka stroming ed scream conspiracy, i mean he blames NZers for burger getting meningitis, o_O

then u have to remember what happened to john mitchell when he first moved over, he was stabbed when he interuppted burglars robbing him.
could u imagine what would happen to deano if he became Bok cocach & then add to that a similar Boks/All Blacks record to as it is now 1 win from every 5 games.
something tells me that deano would want to move in with oscar.

too soon??? o_O

@moolaa - kiwis in new zealand - no problems... except bryce and his good mate vinnie munro and murray mexted (all cut from the same cloth...)

In general kiwis who migrate here to live a better life  then talk about how good they / kiwis are... whatever... speaks for itself - small mindedness  - they're wankers simple as that. Mind you I cannot wait for the day Wallabies find a bit of form and take down the ABs - deans has proved a MASSIVE failure in this respect.

Additionally how badly they treat ex-kiwis (eg QC) who do decide to give their allegience to land that provides for them. That there is my issue..... and as a reds supporter since the days of ballymore - rugby roots in Australia are small but deep and as suske incorrectly points out (due to his small mindedness, and  whinging kiwi presumptuosness nature) that (true) Australian rugby supporters actually are made up of the most educated class of people in the country- only tope private schools play the game in Australia in 2x states - maybe representing 2-3% of all high schools in the country. At home games in Bris the feral types making all the noise in the crowd and nearly 100% always kiwi decent -  of which most probably have sponged of generous welfare for way too long.

Anyway all this aside - I actually only dislike kiwis when it comes to rugby... rugby league or cricket or olympic type events I find myslef actually giving them a bit of support...

Redsman-- We didn't  have a problem with QC at all a couple of years ago and I for one admired his talent.

He crossed the line when he had a couple of cheap shots at our much loved and revered Captain St Richie and then followed up with mouthy comments about what he was going to do to the ABs in the World Cup and that he could handle anything the NZ crowd could throw at him!

That's why he was given so much stick here and since. Clearly he couldn't handle the pressure and had a horror 2011 WC. He's only now refinding some form and good luck to him as he's finally found some humility.

Kiwis don't like blow arse sportsmen; it doesn't sit well with our psyche.

Sasuke uchicha youre wasting your time with deadhead Red. He does'nt like migrants that have abandoned their homeland despite being one himself LOLZa - explaining his lack of knowledge about league as yarpies know nothing about that code.

Keeps whinging about Bryce Lawrence cheating which is weird when OZ won that game aginst SA. How many winning teams whinge about the ref.? Sounds like he's only an aussie when he wants to be but once a yarpy always a yarpy.

 @blackadder not a yarpy yarpy at all actually... Just Bryce has cheated Aussie teams too many times prior to RWC debacle.

anyway highlanders taken care of seamlessly... Lets see if reds can manage a good games chiefs...

re league been following bronc since 88 inception but I find the game one dimensional and not that interesting. Although many a talented athlete which would look fantastic in wallaby colours. State of origin is the only game I watch in full all year... Prbly even prefer afl...

by the way sbw did play well last nig for roosters and no doubt his time in rugby has taught him some lessons in class
