I have taped the match to watch tonight Redsman. Seems Cheetahs  squeeked home. Will take  a look at the dubious try awarded by the nz ref!

Two tries by Raymond Rhule secured a second tour victory for the Cheetahs.

The Cheetahs won 27 – 26 after the Waratahs led 20 – 17 at half time.

Rhule scored a try in each half as the Cheetahs held on for a tight win in Sydney. Johan Goosen kept his good form by adding 12 points with the boot.

Similar to the first match this morning, the lead see-sawed throughout the match. Rob Ebersohn got the Cheetahs off to the best possible starts, scoring in the second minute. The Waratahs kept themselves in the match through Brendan McKibbin, who kicked four penalties. Peter Betham and Adam Ashley-Cooper scored in the first half, and by half time, the game seemed to be over for the Cheetahs.

With momentum on their side, the Waratahs started the second half with a penalty to stretch the lead to six, but could not capitalise on what looked like exhausted Cheetahs players. The match seemed all but won for the Waratahs before Raymond Rhule produced a bit of magic to score with 7 minutes left in the match. The Waratahs could not get back in the game, and have now lost three of their last four matches.

The Cheetahs’ kick and chase plan worked well, as Israel Folau was bombarded with high balls, and put the Waratahs under immense pressure. The Waratahs also kicked away too much ball, especially in the last 5 minutes of the match, when they were chasing the win.

This is the first time the Cheetahs have managed three wins in a row against any opposition. The Waratahs next host the Blues while the Cheetahs wrap up their tour against the Force, hoping to win a third match.

Well Cheetahs must fancy their chances against the Force.

@redsman,
OMG u are sooooooooooooooooooooooo stupid. the TMO was the one that said it was a try, the australian TMO goddard. garret only awarded it on goddards say so, are u smart enough to be embarrassed??? i guess not, so quick to bag anything kiwi, even if u have to conjure up any old lie, tsk tsk tsk. but what would u expect from a lazy stupid aussie, o_O

BTW if u dont who goddard is, he was the ref who was stood downa few years back for being useless as dwyer put it, a mirror image of austrlian rugby as a whole, :oP

i expected the cheetahs to smash the waratahs too, it seems even SA lower tier teams are higly fancied over australias top teams.

1st half was really good rugby from both teams, surprising cos one of those teams was an aussie team, but the 2nd half was a lot closer and a real battle of attrition which the cheetahs just won.

the travel seems to be taking its toll on the cheetahs players, cos thier forwards were looking real tired and out on their feet, it makes things a bit more intresting when they go to the force where sias will be looking for revenge.
cheetahs maybe the darlings of south african rugby, but the fitness levels their forwards showed might just give the force a bit of a chance.

folau has again cemented the arguments he has no place in union, hes at least 2 seasons away from being a spXV levle player. its a shame but hes exactly like timana tahu, a complete and utter failure who has no rugby nous what so ever.
IMIO he will be going back to league by the ned of next year at the latest.

curious to see where the waratahs go from here, cheikas attacking policy has not only failed, but ther defence and fundamnetals has taken a huge dive down hill, anything higher then a bottom 5 finnish for the waratahs would be a huge success.

Had the pleasure of being at the game to see the Cheetahs win, a win that was made awfully difficult by a referee who cut them no favours in the 50/50 calls. I'm not too impressed with either team, the game in general appeared to be slow in motion so I don't expect either team to make the final six....my standout player was Rhule.

thats classic, first ur soooooo stupid and blame the ref for making the wrong call, and now u change ur story and say the ref should never have gone to the TMO in the first place, ROFLMAO, :oD
bro, u need to stop proving ur a dumbass, we all know it and as an aussie i wouldnt expect u to man up an admit when ur wrong, but whatever, im always going to laugh when thinking about how u rant cos we showed juss how stupid u are.

(moron mong voice) "onfield ref shouldn't have even neede the tmo u dumbass stupid sheep lovers"

i hope ur just the average austrlain, but unfortunately i know that u are prob in the top percentile when it comes to smarts, tehehehehehehehe.

FYI if a ref is unsure about a possible try, they are to refer it to the TMO. the fact the AUSTRALIAN TMO awarded, leads to two hard core facts,
1) garret had every right to go to the TMO &
2) u really are one dumb piece of sh!t, :oD
