February 27, 2013, 01:56:52

One could come up with a useful side made up of players not playing S15 rugby.

15. Ulrich Beyers (Bulls)

14. Mjekevu (Sharks)

13. Howard (Stormers)

12. Small-Smith (Bulls)

11. Sithole (Sharks)

10. Swiel (Stormers)

9. Schrauder (Stormers)

1. JC Kritzinger (Stormers)

2. Mtombeni (Stormers)

3. Rossouw de Klerk (Cheetahs)

4. Willemse (Bulls)

5. Ruan Botha (Stormers)

6. Kriel (Lions)

7. Rhodes (Stormers)

8. Whiteley (Lions)

These guys are done and dusted. How about a team of Craven week players....none of these old coots

Yeah they are a bit old in the tooth, I reckon Rhodes at 24 is the oldest

Here's one you will like Dave.

Todd Blackadder has shifted argueably the best fullback in the world to the wing for this Friday nights clash with the blues. He does this in an attempt to get his best possible players on the park after the Blues, and lets face it, shock win over the Hurricanes last Saturday evening in Wellington nogal.

Just made me think of you and how you want to shift guys around and somewhat "out of position" or "out of preferred position" rather to make sure the best 15 guys are on the field as long as possible.

We know Dagg has some awesome skills so I am sure he will adjust just fine but do you think we will see the best of him on the wing? Is he not more deadly when he comes into the line from the back or when he is counter attacking off a poor clearance? He may just not get as many opportunities from the wing.

I would love to know what Hansen thinks about this switch. He is, afterall, playing the best fullback in the world and the AB's golden boy out of position. I guess Blackadder might just tell Hansen to stay out of it and he will play Dagg where he feels is necessary in his team ;-)

I am lucky enough to be hosting clients at this game on Friday night so whoever plays where matters little to me as it will be an awesome spectacle and a game of live rugby that I can enjoy for rugby's sake as I dont care about the result. Sunday morning at 6am (my time) is when it all matters!! Come on the SHARKS!!!

Sharkbok

I am waiting for the Crusader team as a matter of urgency.   Sasue has not published it yet.   Who is in the team?

Thing is I dont shift players out of position. Taute can play 15 or 13, Lambie 10 or 15 etc.

I would have left Dagg at 15 and played whoever he is selecting at 15 on the wing. Dagg is one of the worlds best and will make more of an impression at 15. Poor call by the Saders coach

There you go Mike:

Crusaders

1. Wyatt Crockett , 2. Corey Flynn, 3. Owen Franks ,4. Luke Romano , 5. Samuel Whitelock , , 6. George Whitelock , 7. Matt Todd , 8. Kieran Read (c) , 9. Andy Ellis, 10. Dan Carter ,11. Israel Dagg ,12. Ryan Crotty, 13. Robbie Fruean , 14. Adam Whitelock, 15. Tom Taylor

Replacements : 16. Ben Funnell , 17. Joe Moody, 18. Dominic Bird , 19. Luke Whitelock , 20. Willi Heinz , 21. Tyler Bleyendaal , 22. Tom Marshall

Tom Taylor is a usefull player and at one stage he was playing so well that he forced Dan Carter to 12. That is not going to happen now with Ryan Crotty probably NZL's best 12 at the moment and Dan getting a bit long in the tooth so they have taken the best 15 and shifted him to the wing. Taylor is good but not that good. I agree, poor call in my opinion but come Friday night, we might just be eating those words.
