Zac's coming back...
February 06, 2013, 18:52:50

The Crusaders appear to be preparing for a return by Zac Guildford sometime this Super Rugby season.

It had been thought Kurt Baker would be elevated from the wider training squad to permanently replace Guildford, who's on indefinite leave following another alcohol-related incident.

Assistant coach Aaron Mauger told RadioSport they're hoping Guildford can get through the next few weeks and potentially make a return.

Mauger said they'll assess where Baker sits later this week after a hamstring injury at the Wellington Sevens, but have already called in another player.

He said they'll assess Baker this week and are hoping he'll only be out for four weeks, while they've also called in former Highlander Telusa Veainu.

Mauger said they can also consider playing Israel Dagg on the wing if needed.

Brycy

If Guildford is sincere about his treatment against alcoholism - he would be able to finish same within3 months.  I nevr thought he would be out for longer than that.

Perhaps rooiAAS could give us an estimate on that....he is the guy who rails so much against a drink, he has to be an AA graduate.

Another typical barefaced lie from you, Moffie. I don't have a problem with anyone drinking, I have a problem with people who drink and drive.

Now I know that you and your Alpha Gimp Dense think it's quite clever and very funny to drive around when you're drunk, but maybe you'll think differently if you lose a loved one because of a drunken and irresponsible prick like you who can't hold his drink and who thinks it's funny to endanger other people's lives.

Well, you certainly argued vociferously for Dense's right to drive home from your house in a totally drunken state. You thought that was pretty funny and if you apply different rules to yourself then it's just another example of your stinking hypocrisy.

Denny might have had one glass of wine, and in any case his wife and son were with him....either of whom could have driven if necessary, which it wasn't. I went nowhere.

I enjoy the occasional scotch  in winter, I have a cellar of good French wine rarely touched....and I have a taste for non alcoholic beer, which is my default drink. Sometimes weeks go by without remembering to have an alcoholic  drink.

As for  driving while incapacitated.....no responsible person should want to do that. Does that help?

Moffie, good luck finding somone who givs a flying toss about your scotches in winter, your wine cellar or the fact that you can no longer drink normal beer because you wet your adult nappies after a single sip . . . but I'm not that person. Try one of your Gimps.

If Dense suddenly only had one glass of wine that night then you were either lying that night or else you're lying now. Towards the end of that evening, the two of you were squealing about how you were on your 4th bottle of wine while "Rooinek wasn't having any . . . nyaah nyaah nyaah!".

People may not believe that two grown men could possibly be so childish or obsessed with another message board poster but you and I both know it's true . . . Dense hadn't been there for more than about 10 minutes and you two were already taking turns posting on the board posting about how much wine you were already drinking. The fact that you let Dense drive home that night after 4 bottles is digraceful and I have a real problem with drunken inconsiderate louts like you and Dense.

Moron it was a lunch, not a dinner.  Feeling a bit stupid again...huh? Tell you what,  run back to your AA support group and tell them about the nasty chaps who pulled your chain, you snivelling twit.

If the Baby Denise cries so easily while sober, I’d hate to see him intoxicated. That would be a sight.

So, it seems he's prone to driving drunk with his wife and child in the car.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me!!

Oh I see, so it was lunch and not a dinner? Well that makes all the difference! So you let him drive home in peak hour traffic having drunk two bottles of wine, rather than in the middle of the night when no-one was on the road? Is that right, Moffie?

As for me being a snivelling twit, I'm pretty sure the other posters can see from your tone who is doing the snivelling and they can also work out for themselves who behaved like a twit . . . especially if any among them have ever lost friends or family to accidents caused by a drunk driver.

Capone, you should have seen these two Clowns sputtering, backtracking and lying through their teeth when I brought up the drunk driving issue.

On the same day this all happened, Moffie posted something about how he'd just said goodbye to Dense after the wonderful wine-filled day they'd had and I asked him if he'd been so irresponsible as to let Dense drive home drunk. There was a long silence and then Moffie came back to say that Dense's wife had driven them home. I thought that was fair enough and then later on that night Dense arrived on the board to say what a wonderful evening he'd spent with his new best friend Moffie and how much they'd enjoyed drinking wine together and posting comments on the board to tell Rooinek how much fun he was missing . . . and I said something about how drunk he'd got. Dense (who clearly hadn't read the posts between me and Moffie) got all self-righteous and said he hadn't got drunk at all and he had been fine to drive himself and his family home.

It was hilarious after that embarrassing blunder to see the two clowns trying to pretend they hadn't contradicted one another and they went on to dig their hole deeper and deeper with every new lie. It was honestly one of the funniest things I've seen on any message board . . . but I suppose it wouldn't have been funny at all if Dense had driven into some innocent child in his drunken state.

Thankfully Dense made it home without killing anyone . . . and as a bonus, he still logged on in time to unwittingly expose Moffie as an inconsiderate liar with no respect for human life.

Jalapeno … it’s amazing how one lie moves on to another and another and another … and inevitably it trips you up …

It’s also amazing that a compulsive liar has the tendency to think us stupid. It’s as if we won’t remember what he last said on the subject. .

Then to make things worse, he decides to defend his lie with another but gets confused as to which lie is in actual need of defending … thus exposing himself even further … making a complete arse of him/themselves…

You must have had a ball with these two bozos

Looks like the comedy hasn’t drawn it's final curtain yet  … as it’s moved on to a lunch now … can’t wait to see how this develops further …

Do you think Dense the Baby will join in soon …??

Hope so … love to hear what he has to say!!

No, I doubt if Dense will be back for a while.

Dense is not quite as stupid as Baboon-ou in that he at least recognises when he's taking a beating, but he is also a coward and he'll sit there trembling like a jellyfish until he thinks everyone has forgotten about this public humiliation.  When he thinks it's safe, he'll slink back on and start snapping and snarling about some new topic . . . when he's not licking Moffie's arse clean of course . . . and he'll pretend none of this ever happened.

Bwahahahahahahahaha ou rooitwits hilarious version of what happened when Denny and his wife lunched at Moz's place and had a glass of wine at lunch like so many do on such occassions. If rooitwit has not done this at any time its because he can't afford it! ROTFL  ROTFL

It all looms so large in ou rooitwits mind that even today he brings it all up in a fake santimonious bleat (real object is of course  to discredit Moz and Denny! - man is the oak obvious or what).Disappointed 2

As to lies rooitwit you have to admit the Sharkie apology to Moz was a classic. How about, after all these years, you follow his correct example and aplogise for all your very many and daily wrong accusations and lies re Moz. Its the right thing to do

Beeno - encouraging ou rooitwit to do the right thing.

Is it just me or can anyone else hear a faint grunting noise? It sounds almost like some kind of primate trying to get someone's attention.

Looks like it stopped now . . . very weird indeed . . .

The chain was pulled and RooiAAS was flushed out.....all red faced and pompous. This was exactly the kind of thing his AA friends had warned him about. He knew if he had one glass, he'd want the bottle, so he assumed it was all literal. Man did we laugh when we got his sanctimonius little postings. The poor bugger has invested all this with so much evil, he has even turned day into night.

We flicked out the lure, jiggled it once twice ......and strike. Lush on the line!!!!!!

I do note ou rooitwit keeps very quiet when I mention Sharkie.

sorry rooiwit I shouldnt really mention it given what a painful episaide it was for you but it was really such a classic with a marvelloius outcome - ie sharkie's seeing the light - that I hoped it would make you realise your need to apologise!  When you accuse a person of lieing all the time - day and night for years - its the least you can do when proven wrong.

Sharkie did but  can you?

i really hop that zacky boy is fully committed to his rehab. my brother who is no zac fan thinks that given the last alcohol fuled incident, guilford only took the leave of absence as token gesture to the NZRU and the crusaders so that he didnt get fires, a very calculating and given the media response effective ploy which made me a little suspicious TBH.
IMO this has to be zacs last chance altogetehr. if he should return, he needs to be aware that an alcohol ban is what his career needs. i cant really speak for his intent, but i do hope that he was sincere with everything that went down.

Sasuke, I've known several alcoholics in my time and I've seen some of them beat the addiction for a few months at a time, but they invariably slip back into old habits. If Zac has a problem of this magnitude at this relatively young age then I really don't give him much chance of ever fulfilling his obvious potential.

From what I've seen, it's a condition that very few people ever recover from. Once a drunkard, always a drunkard. Seriously, ask yourself the question . . . how many alcoholics do you know who ever kicked the habit for more than a few months?

Forget Zac Guildford. He's never going to make it as a rugby player. Alcohol will always be his master.

 Jalapeno is right

1. Zac has ongoing issues with alcohol - whether he conquers those demons depends totally and entirely on him. Sharkbok, love your jersey image - it would have been funny if the message wasn't spot on!

2. Mozzie and Denny - Jalapeno owns you and we ALL know it - even Beeno with his feeble attempts at damage control (too funny)! ;-))

Hi there hakwa! All ou rooitwit owns does not amount to very much and hence that vivid green which represents him so well!

What damge control?  No more hallucinatory statements hakwa - like we had about Katie! Hahahahahahaha

Zac needs to get out of the drinking culture of the crusties if he is to recover? Zac can beat this as have many people but it will not be easy. He needs a big reason to do so.  Defeatist attitudes like ou rooitwits are just that.
