NZ win again??? o_O
January 24, 2013, 18:24:52

just heard from a kiwi rugby forum that the NZ cricketers beat the proteas again??? WTF??? o_O
i was under the impression that SA would winn all tests with ease???

anyway, i heard that some dude ca;;ed kyle williams ripped the SA bowling apart and that NZ have some of their best players missing.

nice work there NZ crickters, not easy beatin SA in SA no matter what the sport, even more impressive as joburg has more registered cricket players than all of NZ, pheeeeew those losses gotta sting, LMAO, :oP

congrats boys, keep up the good work, if this keeps up, i might consider watching the highlights on the news one day, lolz, :oD

 Sas If you browsed around here you will find that we not that happy about it :)

But yes KANE WILLIAMSON scored an incredible 145.

Then the South African Batting fell apart. 5 runouts, unheard of...

Anycase the NZ fielding was very good, surprised everyone with their fighting spirit.

I am sure that in Kiwi land they have now kept their supporter quite for a while.

NZ have taken the ODI series in South Africa which they have never ever done before, a tremendious accomplishment for them.

Last game is on Friday...tomorrow. We can only fight for some pride in a dead rubber.

@ek,

whatever supporters the NZ cricketers have in NZ, were going to be loyal to the end, u would have to be cos most of the time all i hear is loss after loss, LMAO, :oP

i saw a little of the SA vs OZ test series here in melbourne, i still cant comprehend how a test can go for 5 days and end up a draw, WTF??? o_O

and that happened twice in a row, OMG that sounds so mind numbingly painful, id imagine that being the internet equivilent of having to read nothing but beenos ramblings for 8hrs straight, just shoot me now thanks would be what i would opt for instead, :oP

was nice to hear that its the first time NZ won a one day test series in SA, especially considering SA status in cricket.
this is another nice scalp to go along with that 2011 CWC where NZ knocked out SA in the finals??? LMAO, :oP

i havent heard anything from the 3rd test on the kiwi forums, so im assuming that the proteas smashed NZ big time, :o)

congrats kiwis on a well deserved test series win, but cricket still sucks, lolz lolz lolz, :oP

Reading Beeno's rmblings for 8 hours in a row - that is a gem.   Five day test cricket is often enough a bore - something like watching paint dry.    However - there are sometimes some real gems during games and I want to relate two.

I went to a game at the Wanderers many years ago.   Barlow was bowling and Bill Lawry (the Aussie captain) was  batting.   First ball - Lawry hit out and missed the ball completely - second and third ball the same.   Barlow went up to Lawry and offered him his glasses.   Fourth ball he clean-bowled Lawry.   After that Lawry for years was an Australian cricket commentator and he and the other Aussie players in that touring squad was acidious whenever commentating on SA teams after 1992 - much to the delight of Tony Greig who needled them constantly about their experiences in SA.

Then there was the test match in Durban.  It was boiling hot and the match was really drawing to a no-result end.   The only thing the Barmy Army English supporters could do was to fill themselves to the brim with beer  - but then they did not realize that SA beers are more potent than the cool drink they call beer in England.  Five o'clock in the afternoon they started to sing God Save the Queen - did not get very far with that and midway switched over to "We are so pissed - its unbelievable"

Anyway - I believe it is really only the connosseurs that can appreciate test rugby and the general public is not really appreiative of hours of seemingly slow runs and no wickets falling - might as well watch paint dry.   But then I watch cricket regularly on TV and walk off when the play gets dull.

By the way - the ODI series was a mess and there was a major problem - they totally under-estimated the strength of the Kiwis and played the fool in the first two ODI's like it is unbelievable.   The Protea performances were rubbish - who have ever heard of 5 run-outs in one game?   They should kick the culprits in their backside - not ever dream of picking them for future teams.

@mikey,

thats some pretty  funny stories,e specially the one with tony greg egging on the aussie commentators, LMAO, :oD
i do remember something funny from one of the commentators though during the OZ test, he was talking about how spinners need to keep their fingers warm out in the field, in order for them to wrap their fingers around the ball for their delivery or something along those lines. he than said there are two places in the world where that can be very dificult, manchester in march and dunedin EVERY SINGLE TIME, LMAO, i cracked up at that comment, :o)

i was also in hysterics with that other cricket thread u started, the one wear u were swearing ur butt off and felt u could now blog about it cos u calmed down, LMAO, :oP
thats some funny stuff mikey, :o)

Sasue

There is one problem though - Tony Greig's son turns up at every rugby test dressed in Springbok supporters outfits.   I don't think the Aussies like that very much.   Tony himself said once in an interview that he went to play test cricket in England becuase he would never have made the SA team at the time - he thought he was just not good enough.

Through the years - although living in Australia - in his heart he was always loyal to SA and frequently came to visit his family here
