Not surprisingly the last shoe in the destruction of Lions rugby has finally fallen. The R 12 million Coke deal is history. This is a small sponsorship by Coke standards, but important enough to the Lions to have renamed their ground. Did SARU really think sponsors would ignore the political dealing that led to the demise of one of the most important rugby franchises in the country? A franchise right in the heart of the nation's economy. Everything about this whole thing was wrong....starting with a cast of characters that included Cheeky and Luke Watson.
