Meyer's Mission - Makes every Bull a Springbok
October 31, 2012, 15:07:06
The following Bulls have all been in the squad or have in facy played for the Springboks:- 15 - Kirchner 14 - Hougaard 13 - Engelbrecht 12 - Olivier 11 - ??? 10 - Steyn 9 - Vermaak 8 - Spies 7 - Potgieter 6 - Botha 5 - Van der Merwe 4 - Kruger 3 - Kruger 2 - Ralepelle ! - Greyling Now to find the missing players - very, very difficult - that would soon get the opportunity:- * Since Basson was injured and only came back - he is certain to be the enxt top choice * Venter - A bit on the younh side as yet * Spies Injured - but Arno Botha is already in the squad * Kruger - made the mistake of signing to play abroad. If he stayed 100% certainty for next years squad Did I leave anyone out? Don't think so. I was amazed that there were only hints about Meyer's preference for Blue Bulls players - the so-called blue-tinted specs. Looking at the above it is definitely more than blue-tinte specs - it is an established program of getting Bulls into the green jersey. Meyer also picked the entire Bulls support team as assistant coaches as well. Under the circumstances it is suggested that we do not call the team the Springboks any longer - but Meyer's Blues - with in the away games the team being called Meyer's Pinks. Springboks they are not - they constantly disgraced the Springbok tradition and name.
