Let me just say congrats to the winners from saterday. i for one would like to say congrats on the day. your team broke the 11 year streak and are the well deserved winners.

the sharks played a different game pattern and got beaten for it and rightfully so. they played a style that suited the WP and lost the plot all together

seems like most of the team had thoughts on the EOYT maybe. none the less the sharks were not the best team on the park on saterday. stil a grea year 2 finals so everything to look out for next year.

Thanks ou muncher but as usual your analysis  goes haywire.The sharks were not allowed to play their normal game as their pack was bullied, the defence cut them down and their lineouts were a shambles. All factors beyond their power to control as the Mighty WP took charge with their second string. Hahahahahahhahahaha

Yes muncher the sharks should do well next year and the Stormers even better. Chances are we will end ahead of you on the log once again. I say chances because of variables like extent of injuries and of course poor refs - factors that can blow any side out of the water.

I already said the Stormers did deserve their win and I think the  Stormers won essentially the forward battle.  They had a very good flyhalf that contributed significantly to the game - he actually made the try scored by De Jongh and he added most of the rest of the points of the Stormers.

I am not as positive as you are as to Super 15 next year.   Jantjies is going to let the team down badly - his negatives will be exploited by the opposition and there are lots of those.   With De Villiers and De Jongh as centers the tryscoring vows of 2012 will continue and even be worse than in 2012.   With some luck the Stormers might reach the top 6 on the log - but as to the top spot without scoring tries and only relying on goal kicks and defence - they are going to struggle badly next year.   The other teams will use the same strategy as was done in the semi - final against the Sharks and the Stormers will have no answer to that.   Sorry to say. 

there pack was bullied ?????? mate what your on about hey beeno ???? the sharks had the edge in the scrums but line outs was a disaster. the stormers with using hands in the rucks managed to slow down the ball and thus the sharks got no momentum. the game was very stop startish and that suited the roid rangers from cape town to a tee....nothing more nothing less so i cant quite understand how you can sum up that my anaylises is haywire ??? maybe mum should ease up on the lead in your corn flakes mate. your dislusions are running riot again. the sharks tactics was not spot on and that cost us. there was no issues with the pack my dear old one eyed pony friend aka beeno....i recko old beeno is with the other WP supporters with there ticket parade going around cape town as if they just won the RWC. they win one final no they say its a start of a golden era. win 3 finals like the bulls then talk about a golden era.

plums even pulled jannie from the game in a effort to save him form the EOYT so its shows that at least the sharks management keeps the boks first. there is not excuses they were beaten by tactics more than anything else.

@mike your views are spot on. expect stormers to grind out bonus point less wins next year as there obsession with kicking and defense will win them games but wont crack the top teams come knockout time. total rugby wins the super comp not one eyed approaches. expect the saders and chiefs to be on the money

Muncher plum pulled old Jannie as young Kitshoff was giving him a scrumming lesson as he ran out of puff. Even Malherbe was getting the better of Beast in the end. To think these two guys are only under 21. What happens next year!!!!

Mike rest assurred the Stormers pack will be significantly better and the backs will show more attacking flair for sure. You are overly pessimistic re Jantjes and De jongh. Not as bad as you make out. You and ou muncher clealry have not noticed the vast improvement re attacking ability!!!!!

We have good backline resources and a strategic flaw has been addressed. No there is every REASON to be optimistic. It would be unreasonable to n epessimistic. The Stormers sqaud will be better in 2013 than it was in 2012 - although I would wait to see if anything untoward happens - but at least as things look now.

Just for your info - if you refuse to recognise it.   Catrakillis made unexpectedly ONE inside pass that let to De Jongh's try.   If Jantjies was playing at flyhalf - the inside passess would have been regular and De Jongh or other receiver of the pass 0would have been carried off on a stretcher by the end of the game.  Jantjies have a very limited repertoire and the opposition would know exactly what to expect.   So will his teammates know the danger of the hospital passes he regulalrly makes.   Watch out - by April Jantjies with his manufactured game - will be history insofar as selection to the team is concerned. 

@beeno improved attacking ablity ???? only thing that fleck and co can attack by this boep is the local fish and chips store down the road. de jongh's try was a massive defense lap on the sharks behave. a little iinside runner move. nothing major to write home about that lets be honest.

i agree with mike jantjies will more of a white elephant than the greenpoint soccer stadium. his hot and cold tendacies will cost the stormers dearly. as they say lets wait and see

Mike and muncher - please oaks this is getting absurd. We scored the second most tries in the Currie Cup. This is a big improvement on the Super 15 showing.

It is widely acknowledged that the WP attack has improved. You will have another chance to observe this fact when the Super Rugby comp gets underway.  In the meanwhile be wise and accept wha tUncle beeno is telling you.

As for flanker s have always been a Louw fan. I have however noted that brussouw was not playing to standards he set some years ago. Of course here once again I have been proven correct as brussouw has been left out for some time.

I have also called for the inclusion of Deon Fourie proving I do take contribtuions made by players into account but noting that 100 kg flankers are becoming the exception that proves the rule.
