Super 15 in 2013

Bearing in mind the fact that Meyer is clueless about selections and I have no faith in the Springboks at all - I have indicated elsewhere that I will not in future support them as a hopeless team in future, as a lover of rugby I will rather look at the future and in particular the 2013 Super 15 season.
I have written off the Queens as a joke in bad taste - they will be on the bottom of the log (no qyestion about that).. If they manage to get even 1 point on the log - it would indeed be a miracle. The Bulls had a dismal season in CC and the main problems will remain in the Super 15 next year. They would be lucky to be out of the bottom 5 on the log next year. They have serious deficiencies insofar as their props are concerned and also in repect of their backline - with players who failed badly this year in half back positions. Futher out in the backline there are also serious quesyion marks about the center and wing positions. The failure of Kirchner at full back is also a foregone concklusion. If they manage to end up above ten on the log - it would be because the other franchise teams are even worse than them - not because of good rugby played.
The Cheethas will also benefit from the return of some injured players like Jordaan and Oosthuizen - as well as those injured on Friday night and is bound to be in the top ten of the log. They never fail to play attractive rugby and would deserve to be in the top half of the log.
The real top teams in Super 15 from the SA sides will be the Sharks and the Stormers. The latter team will be considerably strengthened by the return of injured players. There only drawback will be the fact that they will have serious backline problems with Jantjies, De Villiers and De Jongh still in the backline. They will therefore struggle from the same disease they had this year - namely an inability to score tries. It would have been better for them to have retained Catrakillis. That would have helped in the need that will be evident early in their campaign - namely to replace Jantjies. They will - however - have De Allende, Howard and Du Plessis in their squad - who can replace De Villiers and the equally useless De Jongh. So they would have real hopes of reaching the top 6 in the competition.
The team I think will reach the top spot in the competition will be the Sharks - especially with the return of Bismarck from injury and the replacement of McLeod by Reinach. The Sharks will lose Sykes - but he can be replaced by the top-notch Pieter-Steph Du Toit. Really the team to watch out for in Super 15 next year.
