Next they got smashed in Dunedin and were only saved by a shocking display of goal kicking and bungles opportuniteis amounting to roughly 40 points.

The ab pack is second rate as was shown in Dunedin and in Soweto where even though the Boks ran out of gas  (due largely to poor player management) dominated teritory and possession and made the wee abs look like boys in the first half.

All great sides have a number of great players. Who then are the great ab players currently in this squad?

Forwards. Well there are none. Mcaaw is very obviously over the hill. Read? Well ask yourself what happened to Read in Dunedin. He was a big zero. There is nothing special in the front row and nothing in the second row. The forwards are at best call average. Would any of the abs make the Bok pack? I would not want even one.

In the backs who are the greats. I can only see one and that is Dan Carter. Nonu is fading, the two wings are nothing to much to worry about - certainly JP and Habana are better. Good fullback but great? Conrad is is clever but what else? Note how this great backline with all these greats was shut down in Dunedin.

They have a nice scummie but not a great.

No this overhyped side is benefiting from the injury situation both Oz and  Boks are exeriencing and the big rebuilding phase the Boks are undergoing.

We from our part need to become more professional - eg player management which Mallet was on about after the Oz/ Argies game etc.

Facts are facts and must be allowed to speak truth. What is a little surprisng, but not altogether so, is the total denial of any reality of the Dunedin lesson. The hiding behind an undeserved ten point win and ignoring the glaring fragility of the abs shows the lack of reality of the ab fans. They have convinced themselves of their hype and are blinded to the danger signs.

Forunately the ab authorities will not in all likelihood be  reading these posts and will very hopefully continue to ignore the signs of the times. They will no doubt be gobbling up all this mythology until reality knocks some sense into them.

Hakwa had the Boks played like they did in Dunedin, but of course not missing their goal kicks, they abs would have rceived a right drubbing - a shey shoul dhav edone in Dunedin.

However the salient point is the huge potential showed during the 160 minutes played.   3 of the 4 halves belonged to the Boks. No the Boks  have very much more potential than the abs and from what one saw 20 point victories are quite possible when everything comes together. Unless of course the abs find a pack of forwards and replace some geriatrics fast.
