Are the abs a one trick pony
October 08, 2012, 12:24:41

We heard from the ab supporters that theabs had an off day in Dunedin where they were badly outplayed by the Boks. Well it maybe the case as we in turn had an off day in Soweto - mainly just the misisng of goal kicks again and some missed opportunities again plus a unusuallybad defensive display.

However one has to consider how influential Dan Carter is. If Dan is not there how good are the abs? Could Dan have been the missing ingredient at Dunedin.  If so they are an injury away from being thumpd on a regualar basis.

Beeno, Beeno, Beeno......

You really are holding on to that Dunedin test aren't you. You talk about it like it was a victory. If that's the way you want to look at it then I congratulate the Springboks on their amazing feat.......... (a 10 point LOSS). Shall we just pretend the boks actually did win and leave that test match in the history books?

I actually agree with you on one thing. The All Blacks are in fact a one trick pony at the moment. It's just that their trick is......... wait for it............ WINNING TESTS! (except for in Dunedin of course, my bad)

beeno

With all due respect - what you said here is crap.   The All Blacks throughout this year won every test they played in and is no doubt the top team in the world.   Whether that is going to continue next year is a moot point.

Mike some top team. Got a rugby thumping in Dunedin and had to contend with depleted OZ and Boks sides. Hahahahahahahaha - pease stop apologising for the abs Mike and address the quetion posed.

Why were the abs so poor in Dunedin? Is it they missed Carter or was it the Boks played so well that day or what.

No I do think the abs are way overated. Their pack is weak and they are ready for the taking.  I mean how can they be so good when they got  ar ugby lesson at home from a novice Bok side missing players and with a whole lot of new and inexperienced combinations. Try and be sensible about this Mike.

Further, as has been widely noted the abs were poor in the world cup and France got the better of them in the final. Our own craig joubert handed them the fial on a plate as the You RTube video Moz posted showed ver yclearly - all craigs blunders in favour of the abs - commentary by down undr folk as well who had noted all the mistakes. Surely you are not going to tell me France were a great side!!
We are dealing with myth here.

Beeno not impressed by the myth peddalars!

Sorry saSUE bluster will not help you - we missed 9 shots at goal (I will not go into blundered opportunities)

saSUE rugby is made up of many aspects - one was poor (goal kicking) the other aspects were good enough to dominate nz. Explain that.  On the rugby played you were well beaten. Only poor goal kicking saved your butts.

As ou saSUE cant explain so he will lamely bleat on about the score.  saSUE battling with the reality of all this!!

Please saSUE get real. Your wc win was a farce and you should have been thumped at Dunedin. Those are the realities you need to deal with.

Beeno unmoved by the bleatings of the nz oaks.

Didn't we score twice as many tries as you, and last time I checked you dont score points for missed penalties. The only thing funnier than man-shaming the Boks twice this year is watching Ou Beenkop clambering for moral victory points.  I wouldve thought you'd learnt to deal with being humbled after all these years of supporting the Stormers Ou Beenkop

It is a hard pony to tackle. It was scoring tries at ease over the weekend. Scoring tries of 1st phase ball is a tricky pony.
